Chise opened her green eyes and slowly sat up. She didn't remember falling asleep, only laying with Dabi. She felt her face heat up as her mind went back to last night. Pulling the blanket over her, she leaned back into her soft pillows. Haru is going to kill me...I didn't walk him to school today....

She groaned and planted a pillow on her face, "Chise...get it together..."

After a few moments, she stood, wincing as her hands grazed the bruises on her hip bones. Grabbing whatever clothing she could find, she made her way to the shower. Her mind was buzzing as the water hit her skin. Was she really going through with this? Using her bar to gather information? Was last night real or a fever dream?

She dressed in a pair of black jeans and a charcoal grey, fitted top. Rolling the sleeves up to her elbows, she applied her usual makeup, paying extra attention to the mark left at the base of her neck. Luckily covering bruises as a teenager came in handy.

Haru would be home in a few hours, so she set to work making something warm for him. It was cool today, the sky had grown cloudy and the wind had picked up. Hopefully it wouldn't hurt business tonight.

After she cleaned up the apartment and her cozy meal was done, Haru tiredly walked through the door, unzipping his jacket. He smiled at his sister, "Are you feeling better?"

"I am," Chise played along, "how did you know?"

"Dabi told me this morning you weren't feeling well and couldn't walk me to school."

Her cheeks felt hot, "Oh...yeah. Im sorry I couldn't walk with you. I hope your day was okay."

"It was boring," he groaned, "Some hero guy came and takes to us about safety."

Chise tilted her head and leaned on the counter, "Which hero?"

"Mr. All Might," he hung up his jacket, "He said they're increasing patrol around the city because of recent events...whatever that means."

"Well, go get washed up. I made you some curry," she smirked at his excitement. Once he disappeared down the hall she frowned, making a mental note about the patrols.

She walked down to the bar and began to do her opening tasks, treating tonight as though it was nothing but normal. When customers started filing in, she set to work.

By the end of the night, she had a page full of information to give. From rumors to police details, she was surprised at the amount of information she had gathered. The heroes were onto Dabi and the band of misfits. They had began to pinpoint their recent hideout at the Nomu factory. Whatever that even was. She needed to warn them of the increase in patrols as well.

She folded up the paper and stuffed it into an envelope, tossing it on the cot that Dabi frequented. She had just closed the back room door when she saw a customer walk in, "I'm sorry sir we're," she blinked, "closed."

Endeavor himself stood in the bar. His blue eyes scanned the room before landing on her, "I'm sorry for the intrusion. There has been a dangerous uptick in villain activity, so, we are warning current residents to be on the lookout and call the hotline in emergencies."

She swallowed and nodded, "Yeah, my little brother said a hero came by the school today."

"Have you seen or heard anything?" He massive form walked up to the bar.

"No. Well I mean I've heard gossip and opinions, but nothing of note," she hoped he would take the bait.

He paused for a moment, studying her carefully before walking towards the door, "Please keep an ear out and call the hotline if you hear anything."

As soon as his form closed the door, she b-lined to lock it. He was intimidating up close. She sunk down to the floor and closed her eyes letting out a long breath to steady her racing heart.

"What did he want," came a familiar husky voice.

Chise didn't bother opening her eyes, "To warn me of the uptick in recent villain activity. They did the same at Haru's school today," her green eyes opened to meet his, "they're increasing patrols in the city."

Dabi was knelt down in front of her, holding the envelope, "Is this your information?"

Chise nodded, "Dabi they know where you all are hiding out."

"I know," he sighed and stood, opening the envelope and reading the contents, "They talk a lot don't they?"

"Yeah," Chise stood and dusted herself off. After reading her paper, a blue flame quickly disintegrated it to ash.

"Keep doing it like this. They're hard to trace," his eyes raked over her for a moment before he turned, "I'll be back for the next one."

She watched him leave before she finished locking up. Things were going to get bad. Hell, probably an all out war. Chise needed to think ahead, her fight or flight was kicking in. Unable to fall asleep, she spent the rest of the night packing panic bags for her and Haru. Also leaving him detailed instructions should anything happen to her. In her manic state, she watched the sun rise, and walked Haru to school, as she had promised.

Once she showered and settled onto the couch, her cell phone rang, "Hello?"

"Chise," the familiar voice made her gut tighten, "I hope you are well this morning."

"How can I help you?"

"I wanted to praise you for the amazing work you've done so far." He paused, "I hear Endeavor himself made an appearance."

"Yeah," she tried not to panic, "He was rambling about hero shit."

The chuckle from the other end of the phone made her relax slightly, "You're a good girl Chise...I can see why my devil has grown so attached to you."

She felt her face flush, "Is there anything else?"

"Expect payment tomorrow night. I'll be in touch again soon."

She set her phone down and pulled the black, plush throw blanket around her tightly for comfort. She wanted to sleep so badly, but her mind was pushing her to be alert. A huff left her as she laid back onto the couch, her green eyes fixed to the ceiling.
