Hawks volunteered to carry her and place her in the SUV. She felt more comfortable with him than any of the other heroes present. Endeavor insisted on riding with her, Hawks would be in the air above them, doing what he does best.

Chise could barely keep her eyes open, thanks to the drugs. Her hazy green eyes slowly made their way around the car, trying to make sense of what was happening. Endeavor kept his eyes on her, his large arms crossed over his chest.

"You...should buckle your seatbelt," she softly mumbled.

He scoffed, "We are staying on main roads until we get out of town."

A corner of her mouth formed a lazy smirk, "It might be bumpy."

"If it does," he leaned forward towards her, "I'll make quick work of it."

"Oh I'm sure," she closed her eyes as they began moving. "You've done well so far-"

Her words were cut off as the back of his hand collided with her cheek, making the corner of her mouth bleed, "Listen here, I'm done playing nice. Shut up. Do not speak."

Chise spit blood on the floorboard, "I wonder who else you hit like that," her eyes narrowed, "You're married, right?"

"You little bitch-"

"Didn't you have a son that passed?" Her grabbed the collar of the top she wore, making her chuckle, "I thought so. How men act behind closed doors says a lot about their true nature."

"I. Mean. It." His face was mere inches from hers.

He roughly released her as she flashed a drunken smile. They would be out of the city soon. She was making sure to keep him riled up, make his head unclear for when the time came.

"What was his name?" She tilted her head, "I'm asking for real, not to mess with you."

Endeavor sighed, "Toya."

"Do you miss him?"

The car was silent for a long moment, "Yes, everyday. No matter what, he was still my son."

Chise could see pain in his eyes. Something she knew somewhat, "Does it ever get better?"

"It depends, some days are easy...other days," his eyes moved out of the window as they left city limits, "you can't stand the fact you're still here and they aren't."

"I feel so numb," Chise confessed, "I don't like it...it doesn't feel right. Sometimes I feel rage, or sorrow...guilt," she swallowed the lump on her throat, "But, mostly just numb."

"It's better to be numb, than the anger, or guilt," his hand moved to the comm briefly.

"I'm sorry for your loss...Surprisingly I enjoyed our chat this time..." a thud on the hood made her smirk, "Company is here."

His eyes narrowed out the window, trying to see what was coming. Chise took a deep breath and closed her eyes, knowing whatever it was, it was going to get hairy.

Dabi placed his hand on the ground, watching what car Hawks landed on. They were moving fast, but, his flames could catch them if he concentrated hard enough. He took a deep breath, exhaling as flames shot out, heading straight for the SUV.

Chise felt her seatbelt catch as the SUV swerved in a panic. She pinched her eyes shut when she felt it begin to topple onto its side. The windows shattered as rock and dirt spewed through them, pelting her body. She didn't open her eyes or breath until it finally skidded to a stop. She panted, "Are you okay?"

Endeavor wiped the blood from his brow, assessing their situation, "Yes," he looked her over, "we need to get out. Sit tight," he pried the door facing the night sky open. His eyes landed on the league, already battling with the other heroes. Hawks was currently facing off against Twice, surrounded by his clones. Blue flames burned the earth around them.

He hoisted himself up before reaching his arm down to Chise, "Can you reach me?"

She pulled herself from the seatbelt, already feeling bruises forming across her breasts and waist. Her hand made contact, pulling her way out into the cold night. She landed on the hard ground and groaned. The drug they gave her made it hard to control her body. Endeavor knelt down, "Don't move too much. We aren't sure how injured you might be."

Before he knew it, blue flames shot at him, forcing him to leap backwards. Chise closed her eyes, relaxing in the intense warmth, comforted he was at least here.  She could hear the fighting around her, but was too drugged to keep up. At one time she heard Overhauls voice shoot by. Toga as well, with her signature cackle.

"Okay," Hawks leaned into her ear, "I'm gonna take you outta here," he placed his jacket around her body, "It'll be quick."

Once the earmuffs settled onto her ears, they shot off. The ice like wind bit at her exposed skin, making her bury her face into his neck. He pulled her closer to shield her as much ass possible, but keeping his warp speed. He had to move quickly so the heroes wouldn't notice his absence.

She felt hun land and jump down into a warm room, "Just lay here. You'll be safe."

The sound of him fluttering away landed on her ears, making her eyes flutter open. She hadn't even realized he took his jacket back. Chise was thankful for the warmth of the room, the softness of the sheets. She allowed herself to lull to sleep, basking in the quietness.

She felts hands on her, carefully moving her around. A panic set through her as her green eyes snapped open, meeting stunning blue. Dabi tossed her shirt aside tiredly, "Don't move."

She closed her eyes, her voice soft, "Okay."

Hawks walked in and handed him a long sleeved shirt, "Ah, welcome back to the living," he teased, "Are you hurting anywhere?"

She peeked open an eye, "That's a loaded question... but I don't feel like anything is broken, just banged up."

"You have some cuts from the glass," Dabi wrapped them quietly, Hawks lingered over his shoulder watching. It was interesting to see them interacting. They were polar opposites.

"Huh, you're good at that," he adjusted his wings before stretching, "I'm still upset with you for a cheap hit."

He scoffed, "Then don't make stupid mistakes when your fighting someone."

Hawks whined, "Chise he's so mean to me."

"Stop whining," the pyro snapped, "You're worse than an actual child"

Chise blinked trying to make her sight less blurry, "Where are we?"

"An apartment," Hawks moved to the side of the bed, smiling down, "It's the safest place for you right now."

"Leave," Dabi looked at him, grabbing the shirt.

"If he's mean to you Chise, yell for me."

The door closed as his warm hands ran up her back, "Sit up."

Chise sat up slowly, her body was already stiff and bruised. He slid the shirt over her head. Once her arms were inside, his lips connected to hers in a soft kiss, "Are you okay?"

"I'll be fine after some rest," her hand traced his jawline, "Are you okay?"

He shrugged, "Just some scrapes."

"Thank you."

He gently pushed her back against the bed, "We got the cuffs off, but it'll take a while for the drugs to get out of your system." She nodded quietly as his eyes scanned over her, "I'm sorry I didn't get there sooner."

She wasn't sure if it was the drugs making her head things, or if Dabi actually just apologized. Chise decided to play it cool, "It's okay, Dabi.....are you sure you're okay?"

He scoffed, "Yeah. Get some rest, I'm not sure how long we can sit here."
