The Messenger

When her green eyes opened, she expected to be alone once more. Today, Dabi was still in the position he fell asleep in, breathing deeply. She was able to reach over and grab her phone, smiling when she saw Haru had messaged her photos of their trip to the zoo. She made a mental note to call him later and see how his day went.

Her eyes scanned over Dabi, checking to make sure his small bandages hadn't bled through during the night. He shifted and buried his face deeper against her. Chise smirked. He played hard ass but he was a softie. Her mind wondered what he would have been like had his accident never happened. His scars wouldn't be there, instead of a dark gleam from his stunning eyes, perhaps a warm, vibrant light would be shining through.

He would still hate heroes though...especially with the way Endeavor is... she thought to herself. He would still probably have his jealous personality and slight god complex, but, would he even notice her? If things had been different, would he be here right now, in her bed? Don't kid yourself. You're nothing more than a convenience and tool...

"If you think any harder you might have a coherent thought," Dabis tired voice teased.

Chise rolled her eyes, "I liked it better when you were asleep."

"I have to go soon."

"I'll keep making notes," she casually ran a hand across his shoulders.

"I'll have to send someone to get them," he opened his eyes and looked at her, "I expect you to keep being useful in my absence."

"I was useful before you," she smirked, "So I'll continue to be useful without you around."

Dabi nipped her neck smirking when she jumped, "Watch your mouth."

"Or what?"

His lips landed on hers in a hard kiss. His fingers traced up her bare thigh, sending goosebumps up her spine. Chise sucked in a breath when his hand reached between her legs, teasing her. Her grip on his shoulders tightened. She was so willing, it stroked his already massive ego to know someone so valuable was eager for him. She had no idea her potential, but he was working up to that.

They way her back arched under his touch made him almost desperate for her. He wouldn't be able to be here, like this for a while...maybe more than a month. Was he...attached to her? No, he corrected himself, she's just a good fuck.

While their lips battled for dominance, he gripped her hips roughly, making her whimper into his hungry mouth. He pounded himself deep into her, watching her cry out in a mixture of pain and pleasure. He needed to remind her that while he tolerated her, he called the shots. He was the dominate one between the two. She belonged to him.

It was the sweetest pain, the way he fucked her. Chise couldn't get enough. The rough kisses, bites, tight grips, the way his hand pulled her hair back, making her expose her neck to his lips as he pounded deep into her. All of it. She would never admit it to him, but she loved every minute.

"Do not let any of them up here," his hand gripped around her neck as they continued, "am I clear?"

Chise struggled to find her words, but managed, "Yes."

"They get the information and leave," he moved harder, "understood?"

"Yes," she moaned and gripped the back of his neck, her nails dug into his flesh.

"And when I come back," he fought back his own moan, "You're all mine."

She opened her mouth to respond, but his lips captured hers. He didn't need to hear a response to know she understood. Chise's whimpers became breathless as the knot in her body tightened. He didn't let up when she hit her climax, chasing his own, groaning into her shoulder when he came hard inside of her.

Haru grinned, "Yeah we got to feed a giraffe!"

Chise smiled as the phone was pressed to her ear, listening, "Are they as tall as you thought?"

"Even bigger," he giggled, "Tomorrow we are going to the aquarium."

"Oh that's exciting," she leaned on the arm of her couch, looking out at the cool night sky, "I'm really happy you're having fun Haru."

"I am," she could hear his grin, "but you'll still pick me up tomorrow, right?"

"Of course. Behave and get some sleep."

She hung up the phone and sighed. Dabi had left not long after their...activities. Chise had showered and done the laundry, even washed Haru's bed sheets. Tomorrow would be her own.

She couldn't say he wasn't an inattentive lover. Instead of just getting up and leaving, he laid wrapped around her, explaining that a familiar face would be coming and collecting her information. How he wasn't sure how much to trust him with yet, so be selective. Major updates could be texted to Compress. Before he left, he placed a deep kiss on her lips. The thought made her face heat up once more.
_________
As the next two weeks passed, life seemed almost normal, aside from her messenger. Apparently the Number Two hero Hawks was working with the league. Chise didn't like it. It wasn't safe. He could cross them at any moment, she didn't trust him one bit.

Her eyes watched him as he sauntered into the bar. He wore his usual friendly smile, "Chise, how are you?"

"I'm doing well," she held out the envelope, "business was slow tonight...sorry it isn't a lot."

He stuffed it in his jacket, "I'm sure it's fine." Instead of leaving, he sat at the bar, "He asked about you."

"Who?"

"Dabi," he reached over and grabbed a beer, opening it, "I'll pay for it." He took a swig, "I think he cares about you."

"I'm just as disposable as you are," she leaned on the bar, "I don't trust you, Hawks."

"That makes three of us," he chuckled, "He doesn't trust me either. I don't trust me...and now you don't trust me." His golden eyes looked at her, "Why are you mixed up in all of this?"

"Heroes are assholes. Sure, there are good ones who do well, and genuinely care," she sighed, "But most of them want the money and fame, no matter what the cost."

"I agree," his eyes settled on the beer in front of him, "The current system is ridiculously flawed."

"Using children as war pawns," she was talking about the current hero class, "in an adult power struggle...it's something that hits too close to home."

Hawks nodded quietly. She was right, he knew that. It made his torn mind even more divided. "What do you think of the league?"

"I think they are unfortunate circumstances that this system caused. While I don't agree with their methods, or their obsession with All Might, I get why they want to rip it all down..." she said the next part softly, "I'm just hoping their aren't too many innocent casualties at the end."

Hawks took out money from his pocket and placed it on the bar, "I enjoyed talking Chise, thanks for entertaining me."

"Goodnight Hawks," her green eyes watched him leave, making a mental note of his questions. He was sizing her loyalty up.
