Warmth. She didn't remember falling asleep, nor did she remember even dreaming. It was almost like turning off a switch, the restarting it again. The warmth around her as she came to her senses moved, letting her know that he was here also.
Her green eyes fluttered open as she took in the room. It was a decent size, the furniture was a deep brown and modern. The lamp by her bedside was stark white, like the walls surrounding her. The blackout curtains were pulled to, keeping the room somewhat safe from the autumn sun.
Dabis breath gently landed on her neck, his face was buried against her as he slept. His arm was woven over her, giving him silent reassurance she wasn't going anywhere. Her body still felt tired, she could tell the ordeal had taken its toll on her. Soon her green eyes closed once more.

Blue eyes shot open hearing movement inside of the apartment. Chise was sleeping quietly beside him. His eyes landed on her, studying the bruise on her cheek, the scratch on her neck from the glass....they made him angry. Angry she was taken, angry AFO had kept them from one another, angry he wasn't able to get to her quicker.
Hawks was leaning on the island counter of his apartment, his golden eyes snapped to his villain counterpart, "Is she still sleeping?"
"Yeah," he walked up to the counter, "how long do we have?"
"A couple of days. I don't get company at this one, but, the media..." he trailed off when Dabi rolled his eyes, making him smirk, "I can't help living a double life."
"I need to wrap my head around a few things," Dabis eyes stared the the black countertop, "He's planning something, until I figure out what-"
"She's not safe with them," Hawks finished his thought, "she's honestly stuck in the middle...heroes want her, he wants her...."
"I have somewhere I can take her," he sighed.
"They don't know where it is?" Hawks knew where he was talking about.
"No," he eyed the hero, "just you."
"It'll stay that way," he pushed off of the counter, "I have to patrol. Don't go in or out until nightfall."
Dabi watched him leave, hearing the door lock behind him. He pushed off of the counter and strode back to the bedroom to see Chise sitting up, slowly working her muscles, "Are you done being lazy?"
She rolled her eyes, "Now I have to be lazy forever."
"You don't have time."
"I have all the time I want," she sighed, "you need to get back to the others...I can-"
His hand gently gripped her chin, "I know what I need to do. I don't need you telling me."
"It's not safe, Dabi," she swallowed, "for us to be together."
"I know. That's why I'm doing it."
"You're crazy."
A smirk tugged at his lips, "I'm aware."
It was then she noticed the scars on his person had shifted slightly. Her brow furrowed, "You've been overdoing it."
He let go of her and rolled his eyes, "It doesn't matter."
Her voice had a slight bite to it, "It matters to me."
"Why," he snapped.
"Because the shit you pulled last night...and what it does to you," she argued.
"You should stop caring," he hastily stood and walked towards the door.
"You first."
He stopped in his tracks, "Watch your mouth."
"No," she huffed, "You don't get to order me around."
He spun around, in her face in an instant, "You are infuriating."
"You are the one who is infuriating...your ridiculous god complex is...."
"Is what," he glared into her eyes.
"Fucking overrated-"
His lips crashed into hers in a hasty kiss, his hand wound into her hair, keeping her too close to fight him. Her hands made a sad attempt to push him away, but it only made his grip on her tighten. He didn't pull away from her until she had relaxed, "Are you finished?"
"For now," her voice was barely above a whisper.
"Tonight we need to leave."
"Okay," her mind was still trying to recover from his abrupt action. "Endeavor spoke about you..." she watched as his gaze hardened, "We were talking about grief. It was odd coming from him. Feeling almost out of place. He told me your name-"
"Don't," his voice was soft, but held a warning.
"I know. He doesn't exist anymore," she studied his eyes, looking for emotions, "Dabi, when you face him, make him realize what he has done to not only you, but his family as well."
"I will."
"Promise me...you'll make him see you."
He studied her for a minute. She was serious in her tone, her eyes never wavered. Dabi looked away and nodded, "I promise, they'll all have their eyes on me."
Her hand gave his shoulder a soft squeeze as she laid back against the pillows quietly. He ground his teeth in thought, sitting in the comfortable silence they had created. He leaned back across her legs, his eyes on the ceiling. It was interesting to know his father "mourned" his dead son. After the way he had treated him and his siblings, you would think they were nothing more than objects for his goal. Then another thought hit him: Chise. Their situation was similar. He had been using her for her bar, and the bonus content. But, now he was risking his life for her. AFO wouldn't be happy upon hearing she hadn't been returned yet.
He watched her as she absentmindedly played with her wavy strands, thinking. Her tattoos peeked from the sleeve of Hawks shirt. Even with her bruises and scratches, she was hard to look away from. She matched him in many things, all the way down to her stubborn attitude and sharp tongue.
He sat up and leaned over her. Her eyes settled on him, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," he brushed a strand of hair from her face, "I made you a promise...now you make me one."
