Dabi lazily leaned back on a dusty crate. Since they knew the attack was coming, they had decided to wait it out. He would rather be with her. It annoyed him, but it was the truth. Especially since Endeavor had chosen to walk through her door. Chances are he would do it again.

His mind floated back to the softness of her milky skin, the way her soft sighs sounded in his mind. He wanted her again. And again. She was his, and he would burn whoever tried to get in the way of that to ash.

"I hear your little spy is doing well," Compress leaned on a nearby crate, his mask in his hand.

Dabi glanced at him, "Bars are perfect for undercover work."

"Is that why you linger?" Compress teased with a smirk. Dabis blue eyes narrowed, making him chuckle, "Come now, I'm just teasing. Though she's a cutie, I don't blame you."

Dabi sat up and let out a long breath, "Compress, I'm going to warn you only once," his piercing eyes landed on the other man's brown ones, "Don't ever say that again."

"Or what," he grinned, loving the challenge.

"I'll make sure you burn slowly, staying alive long enough to feel your flesh boil off of your bones."

He sarcastically gasped, "Why Dabi, I'm so hurt you'd treat me this way. After all, it's you who said she's a tool for your endgame, correct? So why can't I have a little fun-"

His worlds were cut off when Dabi grabbed his collar, "Stop pushing me for a fight before I give you one..."

Compress could see he was serious. His eyes were shining, his muscles chomping at the bit to act. The older man was impressed with his younger teammates self control, he smiled, "I'm proud of you. You're learning more self control."

Dabi scoffed and pushed him away, "Fuck off."
_________
It had been almost a week since she had seen Dabi. But, her notes were gone every afternoon when she opened the bar. They money was great, but, she was becoming more stressed as things picked up. News had hit that the heroes had busted their most recent hideout.

Tonight the bar was closed, thank the gods. She had barely been sleeping, making sure to keep her commitment to Haru. He was going to a new friends home for the weekend since Monday they were off of school for a holiday. Chise had met with his friends parents for coffee to scope them out before following them home from the shadows. Her fight or flight making sure they weren't undercover somehow.

He barreled down the stairs with his bag, "Are you ready?"

Chise chuckled, "Yeah buddy, come on," she pulled on her jacket, "Do you have the phone I got you?"

"Yep!" He held it in his hand to show her before placing it in his bag, "I promise to call you."

"Let's go," she took his hand and led him down the street to the bus station, "Remember to clean up after yourself."

"I will."

"Be polite."

"I know."

She stopped and knelt down, fixing his jacket, "And do not talk about our dark haired friend..."

He sighed, "I know. I promised to keep him a secret."
________
She walked back into the bar to see a familiar form sipping a beer, "That'll cost you."

He scoffed and sat back, "I'm too tired to care."

"That makes two of us." Her eyes glanced at his bandaged hand.

He turned around at settled his tired blue eyes on her, "Come here."

Her legs moved before her mind as she walked up to him, "What?"

His hands reached out and jerked her to him, her buried his face into her neck, letting out a deep breath. Chise could tell how exhausted he was, her hand slowly reached up and pet his hair, "Come on."

He quietly complied, following her up the stairs that he was once forbidden from climbing. She locked the door behind them and led him to her bedroom. Reaching into her drawer, she threw a pair of sweat pants at him, "You're not sleeping in my bed with street clothes. Those are men's, so they should fit you."

He scoffed with a smirk, shedding his jacket, "Are you bossing me around?"

"Maybe," she smiled and exited the room to close the blinds. She had also changed into an oversized tshirt, washing the day from her face as well. Sleep. Uninterrupted sleep is what she needed. And that was exactly what she was going to get.

She walked back into the bedroom to see Dabi laid back, his eyes closed in the darkness. His scars had grown ever so slightly. Chise carefully crawled into bed and laid back against her pillows. The coolness felt nice against her skin as her tired body relaxed.

"Where is Haru?"

"At a friends house for the weekend," she yawned.

"Good," he reached over and pulled her to him, settling against her, feeling his exhaustion setting in. She carefully wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pet his head, closing her eyes.

He could feel the moment she fell asleep, her breathing evened out and deepened, her muscles relaxed. His hand softly traced her bare skin from her knee, up to her hip. He made note of the small, horizontal scars, something he would ask about later.

Chise shifted, seeming unsettled. Dabi tilted his head as he watched her. He hadn't been this up close since their first time together, not really taking in the details on her appearance. He noticed a few freckles across her nose, a small scar at the end of her brow. Another along her cheek bone. They were faint, but, if you looked closely you could make them out. Dabi stayed this way for a while, memorizing every detail he could, until a deep sleep finally claimed him.

Chise opened her eyes, almost forgetting where she was. A strong arm had a vice grip around her, steady breathing tickled her neck. Her green eyes settled on a sleeping Dabi, making her smirk. He almost looked normal, sleeping like that. Her hand moved up, her fingers tracing along the staples on his skin. His hand reached up and caught hers. "Let me up," she whispered. He huffed and released her before settling back down.

Chise grabbed her phone, walking out of the bedroom and to the couch. A smile crossed her face to see a text from Haru. It was a photo of a milkshake. She had slept for almost fifteen hours. But, she did feel almost human again. A shower would solidify that.
