A tap on his face made his eyes shoot open, meeting green eyes glaring at him, "You're not dying are you?"
He sat up in her face, "Unfortunately not. What do you want?"
She arched an eyebrow, "I came to make sure some villain wasn't dead in my fucking stock room..." she set a plate of food down, "And to make sure his helpless ass doesn't starve to death." He scoffed and laid back. Her hands moved to his chest, "I need to change these."
"How was your movie," he smirked when she paused, "Your brother told me this morning, after threatening me not to die beforehand."
She smiled slightly, "He talks too much." She cleaned the wound gently, "It was pretty good, silly plot line, but the action was there."
His blue eyes took in her current appearance: The deep wine colored tank top, making the red on her tattoos stand out. She wore a pair of high waisted jeans with a few rips on her thighs and black heeled boots. "How long have I been out?"
"About twelve hours," she could feel his eyes on her, making her cheeks feel warm, "There. You should be good to go by morning," she stood and walked to the door, "Do you need anything else?"
"You got any smokes?"
She reached on a nearby shelf and tossed a pack onto his lap, "I'm assuming you don't need a lighter."
He smirked and grabbed the pack as she left. She was entertaining. He'd put her in her place soon enough. Tonight he would sneak away to meet the others for their soon to be failed plan.
________
Chise was closing up when she came back to check on Dabi. Her green eyes blinked when she found him missing, "Well, at least he ate before he left..." she took the plate and groggily headed upstairs. It was after four in the morning, she needed to sleep in today.
_______
"Bringing the kid here is a bad idea," Dabi sighed as he looked at the boy.
"If you aren't going to be of any use, leave," Shigaraki spat.
A blonde boy struggled against the restraints that currently encompassed him. Blue eyes met red as the two sized one another up, "Go ahead and let 'em loose...see what happens."
Toga grinned darkly, "Let's play with him."
______
Chise walked down the steps to the bar around lunchtime to do inventory. Luckily she wasn't open on Sunday nights, so tonight she could relax and...her eyes narrowed, "How the hell did you get back in here?"
Dabi chuckled, "The same way I got out without you noticing last night..." he was sitting on a barstool with a half empty bottle of whiskey. He glanced at her, "Yeah I'll pay for it."
She took in his disheveled appearance, "Do I even want to know?"
"Nope," he smirked to himself, "All you need to know is I was right...and that dusty idiot was wrong."
"Ah," she walked around the bar and pulled out paper and a pen, "The typical male dilemma of power struggles."
"Fuck you," he grumbled.
"Fuck like me and be second best," she casually turned and began making notes.
He decided to play, "We can always find that out."
Chise laughed, "Yeah, right. Let me add that to my list of shit not to do."
"You do talk a lot of shit though. I highly doubt you actually deliver," he took another drink.
"You can dream about it."
"It'd be fun and you know it."
Chise huffed and spun around, "You have two capable hands."
He grinned, "I do."
Her cheeks flushed as she turned away from hun, continuing her task, "That's not what I meant...aren't you bored yet...go to bed or something."
She froze when she felt his breath on her neck, "Come on Chise, you're too uptight."
She turned only inches from him. The smell of smoke mixed with warm whiskey hit her nose. Her annoyed green eyes met his, "Dabi, go to bed before I kick your ass to the curb."
He chuckled down at her, "Alright, don't get your thong in a bind, I'm just offering a good time."
He grabbed the bottle and sauntered to the back room. Chise let out a long breath, fanning her burning face. She had never had a man hit on her like that. Sure she'd been with men before, but, that...was dangerous. She shook her head and continued her task.
Dabi plopped down onto the cot with a satisfied smirk. Maybe it was a good thing that musty idiot got their hideout taken out, he could stay here for a short time until they called him. He was still working after all. He had orders to get her to meet with them.
Chise buttoned the shirt, letting it fall off of one shoulder, tucking one corner into the waistband of her dark jeans. She hated going to fill orders. Her eyes settled onto her brother, "Haru, stay up here. I'm serious."
"Yeah yeah," he sighed, "he came back didn't he?"
"Yes. So stay away from him." She ruffled his hair, "I'll be back soon, okay?"
She made her way down the stairs pausing to hear for any movement before walking out, locking the door behind her.
______
Dabi cracked open an eye when he heard movement, "We both know she told you to stay away from me."
Haru's green eyes looked at him, "Yeah but she's not here."
"Who says I won't tell?"
"Cause you'd get in trouble too," the boy huffed.
"What do you want?" He closed his eyes.
"I...came to see if you were hungry," he carried in a plate of food. "It's dinner time, so I heated up some for you too."
"Set it here and get before she comes back," he opened an eye and smirked when the boy took off and up the stairs.
_____
Chise walked down the dark streets towards the bar, carrying a few grocery bags. Her eyes narrowed when she saw the officers outside of the bar, "Can I help you?"
"We are just checking if the locals have seen this man," they held up a photo and sure enough, that patchwork idiots face was on it.
Chise took it and studied it, "What happened to him?"
The officer took the photo from her, "He's highly dangerous. An accomplice in a recent incident."
"That's terrifying....I haven't seen anyone like that around here. I'll keep an eye out though and see if my patrons say anything as well."
"We appreciate your compliance."
She watched them go before opening the door and locking it behind her. When she turned around, a hand gripped her throat, "What did you tell them?" His voice was deep with warning.
"I didn't tell them anything...get your hand off of me before I change my mind."
He leaned down to her lips, "You wouldn't do that."
"We've already been over this," her eyes locked into his, "Tread lightly."
"That's a cowards way," his grip on her neck loosened as he took in the sweet scent of her skin, "You'd miss me."
She laughed, "Yes...the demon under my stairs."
