Madeline's POV:

"Careful, baby." I said and helped Bea walk to her room, because she was tired of being carried. Sin helped her, and she talked to him more than paying attention. Sin put her in bed and she went on and on about her dream of flying. Then how she wanted to throw water at everyone.
Sin told her he would have someone teach her making her cheer and hug him.

He would be an amazing father, I'm sure he was. He raised a son by himself, and now he's raising Bea with me.
I just wanted us to start from the beginning. I always wanted to know how it feels to be pregnant and to carry a child, I know it's weird, but I used to shove clothes in my stomach. I would do it when I was bored to joke around, but I think I'll look good pregnant.

Esme would make jokes, but she's pregnant so she doesn't get to talk. She used to too. Especially, when we were at King Kazimir's kingdom and we would bump our stomachs together.

Maybe the gods will bless me with a baby one day, I think that at times, I hope for it, but then at times I am scared at what Sin would do. He could make me get rid of the baby or something.

There are actually ways to do that!

I watched Sin grab Bea's bear and acted like it gave her billions of face kisses. She laughed hard and screamed. He laughed with her and he leaned and kiss her head.

I smiled.

He tucked her in, and we left her room after kisses and I love you's.

Sin adores her more than he lets on, he'll act like he doesn't really care but he does. Everyone does.

It's why they wore the costume three weeks ago. I know time has went by and she's better, but I'm clingy and I want her safe. She has more guards everywhere.

"What are you thinking about?" Sin hugged me from behind as I went to the kitchen. I shrugged and turned on the sink to wash my hands.

"Nothing...just...Bea. I want to get in touch with her family, I want to see if there are any of her relatives alive." I said and grabbed the beef to make into patties .

"I can look after my meeting." He said and I nodded and thanked him. He pulled me closer and buried his face in the side of my neck.
"How is the search for Jaiman going?" I asked.

"We found the coven. I wanted to attack in a few weeks after building up my army. I was going to make an alliance with King Tacitus and Queen Darnia." He said and I froze while having the meat in my hands.

"Umm, I don't want you going to war-

"We have to. The pack will be ready, I'm having a meeting with the council today and-

"No. Sin, you could get hurt!" I whispered yelled. He pulled away and leaned on the counter beside me, I was angrily grounding meat.

"He poisoned Bea-

"There has to be another way! We could lose members of our pack. I-I can't suffer the loss of any of them. We're family, we are all family. I can't lose any of them." I told him, truthfully. He smiled at that and caressed my face.

"We'll all be safe." He whispered.

"What about Leander, Esme has a baby on the way! They are at an appointment as we speak, what if something happens to him?" I asked and he shrugged when he couldn't think of anything. He folded his arms and I stared at him.

"What about all the mates that could be lost-

"If I sit around and wait people will die, Maddy!" He whispered yelled back.
