Madeline's POV:

Today...today started like every other day. Sin and I got up, got dress, and made breakfast with Bea. Everything was perfect. It was normal, nothing was wrong, trouble didn't come to mind not once. I never pictured the dead bodies, the blood, the explosions, the dead coming alive and draining the life out of my pack. It was not supposed to be this way.
We were just together, we were just...a family. We were just at peace.

Let me restart...

"Mama." Someone shook me awake. I smiled and seen Bea. I smiled and kissed her face as I hugged her. She laughed and I smiled wider.
"We can cook now." She whispered and her horrible breath hit my face. I hid my stench face and nodded. She cheered and ran out.

I looked over at Sin and he was sleeping.

"Baby." I whispered and shook him. He hummed and looked at me.
"Let's go make breakfast with Bea." I said and sat up. He groaned and stretched.

He loves making breakfast with Bea and I together. That can wake him up out of his sleep anytime. We make breakfast every morning together and have the maids serve everyone. Our little nieces, cousin, child, or sister would run around like crazy. That's our every morning.

Caden and Nova grew fast. Caden is nine months and Nova is eight, but they are running and talking like they are one years old. Their favorite words are...

"no" "dada" "*screaming*" "mama" "pee"

There are more but those are the main. They are growing up too fast for me to even comprehend what's happening. It's weird to see how slow humans grow and how fast wolves grow. I'm glad they can't shift until ten, and that faes magic doesn't come until they go to school.

Bea, Sin, and I started breakfast after showering and getting ready for our day. We played and joked around.

"I love you." I whispered.

"I love-...get down!" He yelled and grabbed me and Bea to force us low.

Bea screamed and a arrow flew right past us. I screamed and grabbed Bea tight. "Go to Esme and Mona, they're going to the underground safe room!" He yelled and I nodded. Bea crawled with a maid and I was about to go, but I looked at Sin. He sighed.

"Baby-

I kissed him. I cupped his face and put my forehead to his.

"Be safe...pl-please." I cried and he nodded.

"Always, I love you so much." He whispered.

"I love you more." I said and he smirked. I kissed him again and the vase shattered beside me.

"Okay, go! Go!" He yelled and ran out. I crawled to the pantry. I scanned my hand and the shelf opened. I grabbed Bea and we all rushed down in there.
There was a long dark tunnel. The maids lit their flash lights, and we ran down the tunnel and steps. Bea cried for her daddy, but I tried to keep it more together.

We made it to the huge room where beds and people were at. The kids ran to the kids section and I told Bea to go but she wanted Sin. I had to hold her.

"Dada!" Nova yelled and cried.

"I-I don't ...I don't know what's happening. W-we...we were sleeping and arrows-

I pulled Mona in for a hug. I kissed her head and told her it will be alright. I let her sit down on one of the royal beds assigned to her. Esme was sleeping on one of the beds with her son. Leander carried them down here when everything started.
