Chapter 29

Laneas POV

My eyes flutter open and I take surveillance of my surroundings. I see I'm still in the clothes from last night and on an operations table. I sit up and turn to see Sunny laying in a chair sleeping.

I get of the bed and groan in pain as I land on my injured leg causing me to fall on my butt. She wakes up and comes to my aid but as she approaches me I move back.

She stops and retracts her hands. She gives me a pitiful look and sighs. "Let me show you to the bathroom I have extra clothes for you to change into." She says and I find a way to stand up and walk after her.

She makes a detour at her room for clothes and takes me to the guest room. When she leaves I close the door and take of my outfit. I turn on the water and step in watching the blood wash down. I get the new exfoliating sponge she gave me and scrub my body.

I scrub and scrub until my kin started bleeding and I realize that nothing is getting her touch of me. I feel the tears fall and I cry as I continue to scrub myself even though it stings I continue.

"Lanea you've been there for some time now are ok." I here Sunny say but I ignore it. I eventually turn the shower off and get out. I take notice of the bathtub and I start to fill it up.

Giovanni's POV

I pace around my room as I wait for Laneas to call me. I haven't heard from her after she said she'll call me later yesterday.

My phone finally rings and immediately pick it up without checking the id.

"Giovanni. It's Sunhee."

"What do you want." I take breathe in. "Sorry how can I help you."

"You need to come to my house."

"Now why would I do that."

"It's Lanea." If she said anything else I didn't hear it I grab my keys and run out of the house. SunHee sends her location and I start driving . My heart races as I pass multiple speed limits.

As I arrive worry enters my body as I see the blood in front of her stairs and I knock on her door.

She quickly opens it and pushes me inside she leads me through a hallway and stops in front of a door. She nods her head and walks away.

I knock on the door and I get no response. But I hear water splash. I open the door and see Lanea in the bathtub with her hands wrapped around her knees and head facing the wall.

"Lanea." I call her name out softly and I here a sniffle. I walk closer to the tub spotting bloodied clothes and footsteps on the floor.

I dip my hand in the water and it's scorching hot. "Baby, what happened." I say and after some moments she turns her head and I see her bloodshot eyes. She's been here since crying.

Understanding she doesn't want to speak at the moment I stand and get the fluffy robe and towel and bring it closer to her.  I turn away and I hear her getting up and putting on the robe.

She taps her nails on the counter 3 times and I turn around. I hold her hand and guide her to the guest room.

I sit her on the vanity and help put ointment on her body for the scratch marks on her, then I moisturize her legs, arms and face. The whole time she was in a daze her eyes so distant and far from the real world. I give her the clothes to put on and turn around.

I hear the three taps again and turn back and she's dressed. She was in a big t shirt and some joggers. Carrying her bridal style I placed her on the bed and get in with her. She faces the left and I face her back. She turns her body to face me and I grab her waist pulling her in closer and rubbing her back. She breaks into small sobs and I feel my shirt dampen. I whisper sweet things into ear to calm her and eventually she drifts off to sleep

After some minutes pass by I get up and leave the room and go to question Sunhee.

I see her sitting on the couch watching tv.

"What happened to her?" I ask

She looks at me then at the tv. She switches it off and stand up

"Follow me." She says and we got trhrough the kitchen to a different hallway and she leads me into a surgeon room.

"Lanea called me yesterday afternoon telling me that she was coming over at the afternoon and I should prepare my scalpel. Now how she found out about my medical skills I have no clue but at 2am in the morning she comes to my door drenched in blood and passes out on the floor. I did some scans and repairs and stitched a cut from the knife in her leg. She hasn't spoke to me."

I take a deep breath. What did her parents do to her.

"I did an x ray and I found a chip in her shoulder. That's probably why she mentioned the scalpel yesterday." She continues while showing me the scans. I nod my head.

The room is filled with silence before I decide to speak.

"I'll be taking her home." I say while heading out. I go back to the guest room and carry her to my car. I turn on the engine and make my way to my house.

Laneas POV

"Please stop." And she looks at me. She pulls the remote out of nowhere and presses a button causing my mouth to close. I feel her hand trail down my stomach and unbolting my trousers.

Tears fill my eyes for the first time in many years and I feel myself panicking. I feel something rub on my thigh and my tears start falling

Stop stop stop

"Baby take some deep breathes." I hear and just like that my senses come back in. I was sitting on Giovanni with a blade in my hand ready to stab him. My other hand was around his neck but no pressure was on it.

His hands soothe me as he rubs my lower back and do as he says and I take some deep breathes.

I relax and drop the blade wondering where I got it from and how I ended up in Giovanni's room. I get of him with my hand shaking. I use my fingers to try and soothe my head but it wasn't working.

It felt harder to breathe and I go to the corner of the room and calm myself down.

Gio walks closer to me and grabs my hand guiding me to sit on his bed.

"What happened?" I look into his eyes for the first time since some days ago and they bring warmth to me.

"I-w" I start but my words fail me. "Sexual assault." Was all I was able to muster up. I could see his face turn to anger but he was trying to compose himself. "Blood."

Lots of it

I get on his phone and go the notes app and type 'I don't want to speak anymore' and show him. He nods his head and backs me. "Let's go and eat." He says and I just nod in response.

He whips up some pepper soup that I taught him how to make and we eat as he plays Chittty Chitty Bang Bang on the tv.

We spend the rest of the day together in silence
