Chapter 24

I never experienced a year long relationship... but that was before.

I've been good for a year, no alcohol, no girls, no fights. I've been obedient to my grandfather and I've been living with no issues.

Denise asked.

Bumuntong hininga muna ako bago sumagot. "Next week... Ayaw mo ba talaga sumama?"

"I have my own trip to Zamboanga, Damian. Wag mong tatangkain." She warned.

It's summer and the next time we enter school, we're gonna be second years—sophomores. I miss my mom and this is a perfect time too. Magbabakasyon rin si Denise sa Zamboanga, maybe I can introduce her to my parents.

"Mas makakatipid ka kung sasabay ka sa akin," I even offered.

Pinag-krus niya ang braso sa dibdib, sumilay ang ngisi niya sa akin. "Really? You can drive for 9 hours straight?"

"It'll be less than that kung straight ang biyahe—especially private vehicles—unlike public buses."

She shrugged. "I prefer public bus."

I sighed for the ninth time. "Love..."

"Ayoko."

I snorted. Napairap ako at sumandal sa kotse. Another thing, this has been really overdue at kinukulit na ako ni Lolo—technically not that kinukulit talaga but you know he is reminding me once in a while. Gusto niyang imbitahin ko si Denise for a luncheon... sa Casa.

"I want you to meet my parents, love." I linked our pinky fingers together—similar to holding hands. "At least, si Lolo then my parents in Zamboanga."

"I guess I have to..."

I smiled and looked around first para masigurong walang tao. Then I pulled her close and hugged her.

"Damian!" angal niya sa yakap ko. Hindi naman ako tinutulak. Not just her love language.

Niluwagan ko ang yakap ko I stared into her maldita eyes. God, I love this girl. "I love you..."

Naningkit ang mata niya sa akin. She smirked and just shrugged. "Don't say that."

"I mean it, and I never said it to anyone but you," I admitted. "I love you."

She caressed my hair, brushing it using her fingertips.

They were all getting giddy about it. And for some reason, kinakabahan ako. This is the first time that I'm going to introduce a girl to the family, let alone to my grandfather.

"Manang, pwede po patulong?" I asked one of our maids in the kitchen. "Maglilinis po ako ng kwarto mamaya."

Pumayag naman si Manang.

Claire and Tarrie gave me a side eye. Hindi nakatakas sa paningin ko iyon. I shrugged at them and mouthed. "What?"

Tarrie also wrinkled her nose at me.

"Ton, ha?" Tarrie threatened. She motioned her point finger side by side. "No, no."

Her pet dogs barked at me too. Kinarga niya iyon at nilapag sa hita niya.

"Stop the dirty thoughts, people," umirap ako at kinuha ang vacuum para sa kwarto ko. Bat ba? Maglilinis lang naman ako. I dragged the vacuum and Peachy—Tarrie's dog—is still barking at me.
