Chapter 10

blunt

I looked at the students before me as I explained our topic effectively.

I explained our topic alone in front.

Tangina.

"Our country, Philippines has this thing called social justice. What is that?" I asked them rhetorically.

You also have to look for the rights of the person or people that opposes you."

I made a pause as I realized the actions I made these past few days.

I bit my lower lip for a second and shook my head subtly. I'm becoming a hypocrite here.

"Damian, is that why that death penalty for heinous crimes can't be approved because of the human rights? Rights of the criminals or accused?"

"Yes, it is one of the reasons. Also at the same time, it protects those who are truly innocent."

After the report, bumalik ako sa upuan

"I know what you are thinking," lingon ni Rahim. "Don't contemplate, the law and lawyers exist for a reason."

"It's unfair in some ways..." I shrugged.

"That is also the function of the congress, to revise or change the unfairness we see in the law, and to make new laws that will protect and help the people."

"Some politicians don't realize the importance of their roles, they are only after the money they want to have.

The old Hiñagos didn't have any corruption scandal or any sorts, it's because we truly didn't have any.

Unexpectedly, all of the old Hiñagos had one unified fetish, they all fell inlove with street smart women, women who have their own empires and are capable to lead. Those women are our living treasure.

"That is also why youth like us are born, to create a better future."

The rest of the afternoon, I feel so sleepy.

It was Bible.

Suddenly, Lolo's words flashed on my mind again.

"She's just like your grandmother."

I smirked secretly at that. Kaya pala nakakatakot siya minsan. Wala pa man akong ginagawa parang kinakarma na ako.
