Author's Note » this was six sections lolol maybe not as short as i planned but a lot shorter compared to if i included days 3-5 (which was just RD annoying AJ, flutter shy, and pinkie pie but separated by day) and this section will end how it did originally in the short; no change so i won't stall

DAY 7
QUICKSAND PORTAL

Dash actually made pretty good progress getting her body above the quicksand. At one point, she was lying flat on the surface and just needed to do slow, makeshift backstrokes toward you, Sunset, and Twilight to help her out.

While there was still some tension between Dash and the latter until she admitted to ruining everyone's vacation, a bloodthirsty plant monster revealed the absolute accuracy of her gut feelings. Unfortunately though, the plant smacked her back down into the sand, but Dash reacted fast enough to protect her face. Her head was now the only part of her that was sticking out.

And just like the last bloodthirsty plant fiasco, you stepped up to the plate.

"Oh- ...Wow," Sunset remarked behind you when you burned it and its hidden belligerents alive, completely overriding Twilight's telekinesis with immediate annihilation.

"...That's an angry woman."

"Stop fawning over my girlfriend and help me!"

"Me? Fawning over women? In a time of crisis? I would never..." Sunset joked with a shy smile as you turned around when all was well. If you weren't mistaken, or unless it was from the heat you just unleashed, she was blushing.

"Stop it!" Even Twilight chuckled as she grabbed Dash's free arm, but you heard more movement behind you.

how many are there   —You blew another flame into your hand, but as you turned around, you realized it was the same plant. It was regrowing.

oh   —You touched the stem again and watched it disintegrate; to use the least amount of energy, you decided to just keep a flame above the spot it was sprouting from.

Turning around, you passively watched Sunset and Twilight help Dash - as they were making slow but steady progress - until Sunset realized an abnormality with the quicksand. Watching her slap the surface as the plant did, a shine was emitted.

"Okay? So what, it glows? Whoopdedoo- Now get me out!" Dash's chest was above the sand now.

"No, I've seen something like this before..." She looked at you and Twilight.

"Do you trust me?" She looked back at Dash.

"...You know what, no, because I'm sinking. again! I can only swim so much!"

"Too bad." She pushed her head down.

that is crazy   —But you saw her plan and sighed, jumping in.

what if the world collapses —You looked at Twilight, her glasses translated to this reality. It was funny to consider the possibility of an optometrist pony with magic probably being able to cure bad eyesight. They were either paid extremely well for such a unique craft or not at all and are cheated off by underground unicorns.
