NIGHT

You and Tank were sitting together on the floor as you were playing with your fire-breathing abilities. He had started head-butting the bottom of Dash's bed, so you grabbed him and put him on her stomach in case he was anxious or attention-starved. However, he then proceeded to try walking off of the mattress.

Fully prepared to take him out for a walk, you would discover after a Google search that tortoises actually defecate in the water. Remembering at that moment that Dash did fill a kiddy pool a couple of days ago, you carried Tank as you both checked the status of the pool and found that most of the water had evaporated from the summer heat. Once you refilled it, Tank went to his business.

You couldn't fall asleep again after this, though. After laying in Dash's arms for 10 or so minutes, you started using your cool flame abilities to see if you could make a kitsunebi. Being immediately successful and holding the flame in your palm, you couldn't help but wonder what catastrophes lay ahead. Magic was incredibly easy to learn.

So now you sat in front of Tank and the small house he had across Dash's bed. He was rather interested in the small, flame-made, cartoon images that you could sustain for a few seconds. You had wrapped yourself in a blanket so the light you produced didn't disturb Dash.

"What are you doing?" You turned around.

"...Fire breathing. I can make torches." You turned around to show her your handheld kitsunebi. She tiredly laughed while sighing.

Your own lips sheepishly curled once the flame went out. "Did I wake you up?"

"No. I thought you.." she mumbled gibberish for a few seconds, "went to the bathroom. I was gonna get up after 5 minutes but then I saw the light. You're really quiet."

"That's good."

"Does Tank like it?"

You softly laughed, "I think so. He's stayed awake."

"You're okay, right?"

"...Yeah." Virtually, anyway. Dash wished for you to come back to bed, so you waved Tank goodbye and got up.

She pecked your lips when you laid back down, her arms engulfing you. "What are we doing next?"

"...The magic, the spells I have, or whatever." To think you once teased Dash for being interested in fantasies and SFX. Now you've joined her ranks. "I wanna know what it is."

"We'd have to go to Equestria."

"...I know."

"Do you want to?"

no   -You didn't know why you were so averted towards Equestria now. Perhaps your life being shattered there has something to do with it. "...I'll work on fire breathing a little more, then we can."

"We'll go together?" You could see her smile in the dark. You nod. "Promise?"

"I'm not gonna leave you," you softly laughed. "But I promise." Dash would soon drift off to sleep after this.

MORNING

"Dash," you strenuously smiled as she prevented you from getting up by laying on your lap. Your bag was packed, and you were ready to go.

"This is so dumb..."

"You are genuinely always welcomed to my house."

"But I like you here!"

"I'll come back over.. next weekend or the one after that." Dash dramatically groaned until her phone vibrated on her nightstand, but instead of getting up and grabbing it like a normal person, she kicked it off of the closest corner and caught it midair.

mommy long arms  -You smiled, almost laughing at yourself. You would have never been able to reach that far down. Watching Dash unlock the device, the notification was from the group chat with her friends.

She gasped. "Wanna go to the beach on Saturday with us?!"

"あの.."
- Ano.. → Uhm..

"No isn't an option." Dash laughed when you scoffed.

"Just try it." Her hands flew to a prayer position as she looked up at you. "Onegaishimasu!"

"Dash," you couldn't help but laugh, not because of her pronunciation, however. She's actually really good at Japanese, but, to be fair, it was a very phonetic language.

"...I'll think about it."

"I'm not getting up until you say 'Yes' or 'No'- I take that back! I'm not getting up until you say 'Yes.'" You snickered as Dash quickly realized you would just say 'No.'

"What are you guys doing after the beach?"

"We usually go out to eat. Rarity likes to go shopping instead of actually being in the water, so we go to the beach with all the stores."

Dash grabbed your hands upon your pondering silence. "Try it~~ I'll take you home if you need to duck out, and I won't ever mention it. Just try it."

try   -"...いいよ." She pumped her fist and quickly sat up, escorting you to the door. Dash wanted to drive you home, as well.
- ...Iiyo → ...Fine

You smiled, "Did Champ Zone email you back?"

"Check." She handed you her phone as she unlocked her mom's car, putting your bag in the backseat. You sat in the passenger seat, finding her app named 'Mail'.

"...Oh, they did, but they said all their positions are already filled, so they can send your application to their sister store." You warned Dash a couple of days ago that this may happen as every shift at Champ Zone had the recommended number of employees. You got lucky last year's March as someone had just found a job closer to their college and quit.

"How do you keep escaping me?!" You covered your mouth as you laughed.
