RAJ VINCENT’s POV:

I’m busy admiring her from a far. She’s so close yet so far from me. We can’t be together, but I can feel she love me, too. Or maybe I am just assuming.

“Kung ako sa ’yo magmove on ka na lang. Wala kang pag-asa kay Sun,” Garry teased me.

I sighed.

“Ang tagal mo nang nag-aabang diyan. Wala pa ring improvements. Pinapaasa ka lang niyan,” Kurzle said.

I really love Sun. I can wait. I am willing to wait. But when she asked me to stop loving her, I don’t know what to do anymore.

“Raj, listen to me. We can’t be together. Please, stop this. Wala kang mapapala. Hindi tayo pwede,” she said.

I accepted that fact. Wala akong mapapala. Hindi kami pwede. Hindi ko na pinilit ang sarili ko sa kaniya. I respect her decisions. I love her, yes. And loving her means I need to let her go for her happiness, I am willing to let go.

“Doon na lang tayo sa RB restaurant. Masasarap pagkain nila,” pag-aya ni Garry.

We went to RB restaurant. I know this restau. The foods are fine. I like it.

“Table number six. Here’s your order,” someone said.

My gaze automatically went to her. Is she a waitress here? I guess yes. Pero hindi siya naka-uniform tulad ng ibang waitress.

“Are you a waitress here?” Kurzle asked her.

I am still looking at her. She answered Kurzle’s question. They talked. Our eyes met, but she ignored me so fast after that.

“What’s your name?” Kurzle ask again.

“Mwezi po, sir.”

Mwezi. Her name is pretty. Like her. I can’t take off my eyes of her. Kahit na nakaalis na siya sa table namin, nakatingin pa rin ako. Our eyes met again when she’s about to enter the door. There’s something in her eyes that I can’t name. Her eyes are pretty.

“You like her?” Kurzle asked.

My eyes furrowed. “Who?” I asked too even if the answer is so obvious.

“Mwezi. You like her? You look at her the whole time she’s here,” he answered.

“No.”

Nagsimula na kaming kumain. After minutes, Mwezi went here again. Kurzle keeps on talking to her. He asked again about Mwezi’s name. And then he asked about her number. This boy is crazy.

“Mwezi, nice to meet you. I’m Kurzle.”

They introduced themselves. When Mwezi look at me, I didn’t talk. She’s waiting for me to say my name but I didn’t say it.

I told to myself that I didn’t like her. But now, I always wanted to see her. We didn’t see each other months ago. Sobrang bihira kaming magkita. I don’t know why she’s always in my mind.

“Halata ka masyado,” si Garry.

“What?” iritado agad ako.

“You like Mwezi, don’t you?” he said, teasing me again.

I hissed. “Fine. I like her. Happy now, Latimer?” I said sarcatically.

Of course, they teased me because of that. Every time Mwezi is in our table, they talked to her. After that, they’re teasing me because I am always silent whenever Mwezi is around.

“Teka nga! Palagi kang nakatutok sa phone mo, dude. May pinopormahan ka na ba?” Garry, again, in his loud voice.

“I’m talking to Mwezi. Have problem with that?” I raised my eyebrow.
