I just got off of work, now I am hanging out with Louie. We are at a donut shop that sells very cheap donuts."Oh my goodness no! I love her and her kids! They gave me ice cream once." I say.
Louie laughs, "Well I live under them and they do not know how to keep quiet."
"Well you did choose to live on the second floor so there's people above you." I point out.
Our hotel is three stories, I live on the third floor, Louie lives on the second floor. We are talking about how Louie is tired because he can't sleep since the family above him is to loud. And no, just because it's three stories, doesn't mean it's fancy. It is very run-down but I love it, it has actually been starting to feel like a home to me.
"Victoria?" I hear a familiar voice.
I look up, "Alessio, hi!"
He smiles, "Hey, I haven't seen you in a while what's up? You and Vanessa good?"
I nod, "Yeah. I've just been focusing on myself trying to make some money and live life to the fullest."
"I get that." He says, "I'm kind of locked in with the Romano's forever so, not turning back now."
Alessio looks at Louie then back at me, "Who's this?"
"Louie. He lives in my neighborhood. We're friends!" I say.
Alessio gives me a look. The look.
I scrunch my nose, "Dude! No! Never."
I hear Louie laugh, "We aren't together. I'm gay so she is totally not my type."
My mouth drops open.
"I mean you totally would be if I were into-," He swallows and points to me, "That."
I laugh.
"Well Romano has been different since you stopped coming over all the time." Alessio tells me. "I will call you later and give you all the details. But right now I need to get Vanessa her doughnut that she said I had to get and I couldn't send the drivers."
I smile, "Definitely sounds like her."
Louie and I say goodbye to Alessio then continue with our conversation. After that, we go to the hotel and go to our rooms.
As if on cue, Alessio calls me.
I answer, "Hey."
"Hey." He says on the other side of the phone.
"What we're you saying earlier?" I ask, eager to know.
"Romano, He has been acting weird lately. I mean don't get me wrong that dude is always weird but I don't know. He always seems, mad or frustrated about something. I noticed it like the third day in a row you didn't show up." He says.
