[🦚] Reine-sensei's Second Chance ( Part 1)

You was walking down the street, feeling hungry and bored. You had just finished your work as an interpreter for a foreign client, and you was looking for a place to eat. You passed by a convenience store, and decided to buy some snacks and drinks.

As you was about to enter the store, you saw a familiar face sitting on a bench outside. It was Pavolia Reine, your former teacher and crush from university. She was also a popular Vtuber in Hololive, a group of virtual idols that you followed online. You had always admired her for her elegance, intelligence and talent, but you never had the courage to confess your feelings to her. You also knew that she had a boyfriend, so you gave up on your hopeless love.

But now, as you looked at her, you noticed that she was crying. Her eyes were red and swollen, and her face was stained with tears. She was holding her phone in her hand, and you could hear some angry voices coming from it.

"Reine, you're such a liar! How could you do this to me? How could you cheat on me with that guy?"

"What? No, I didn't cheat on you! That's not true! He's just a friend, I swear!"

"Don't play dumb with me! I saw the messages, I saw the pictures! You've been seeing him behind my back for months!"

"No, please, listen to me! It's not what you think! Please, don't break up with me!"

"Too late, Reine. It's over. We're done. Goodbye."

The phone went silent, and Reine let out a sob. She buried her face in her hands, and cried harder.

You felt a surge of pity and anger. You hated seeing Reine like this. You hated the guy who hurt her so badly. You wanted to comfort her, to protect her, to make her happy.

You took a deep breath, and approached her.

"Reine-sensei?"

Reine looked up, startled. She recognized you immediately. You was one of her best students from three years ago. You was smart, kind and handsome. You always paid attention to her lectures, and asked her questions after class. She remembered that you had a crush on her back then, but she never acknowledged it. She thought it was just a harmless admiration.

"Y/N-kun? Is that you?"

"Yes, Reine-sensei. It's me."

"What are you doing here?"

"I was about to buy something from the store. But then I saw you... Are you okay?"

Reine wiped her tears with her sleeve, and tried to smile.

"I'm fine, Y/N-kun. Don't worry about me."

"No, you're not fine. I heard what happened. Your boyfriend... He broke up with you?"

Reine nodded, and felt another wave of sadness.

"Yes... He did."

"I'm so sorry, Reine-sensei. That's awful."

"It's okay... It's not your fault."

You shook your head.

"No, it's not okay. He doesn't deserve you. He's a jerk."

Reine smiled weakly.

"Thank you for saying that... But it doesn't change anything."

You took a step closer to her.

"Reine-sensei... Can I do something for you? Anything? Do you want me to buy you something? Do you want me to take you somewhere? Do you want me to stay with you?"

Reine looked into your eyes, and saw genuine concern and care. She felt touched by your kindness.

"Y/N-kun... You're so sweet... But you don't have to do anything for me."
