You reached the restaurant where you and Amelia had shared their first meal together. It was a cozy and charming place, where they served delicious noodles and dumplings. You and Amelia had gone there many times after their cases, to relax and enjoy each other's company.

They had always had a good time there, except for one occasion. It was the only time they had ever had an argument.

It was a few months ago, when they had been working on a case involving a stolen painting. They had followed a lead to a museum, where they had met a curator who claimed to know something about the theft. The curator had been friendly and helpful, and he had shown them around the museum.

You had noticed that the curator had taken a liking to Amelia, and he had flirted with her openly. He had complimented her on her beauty, intelligence, and charm. He had also invited her to join him for a private tour of the museum, where he said he would show her some rare and exquisite artworks.

Amelia had accepted the invitation, saying that it might help them with their investigation. She had also smiled at the curator, and she had thanked him for his kindness.

You had been jealous and angry. You had felt that Amelia was being naive and reckless, and that she was putting herself in danger. You had also felt that she was betraying you, and that she didn't care about your feelings.

You had tried to stop her from going with the curator, but she had refused to listen. She had told you to trust her, and she had left with the curator.

You had waited for her in the lobby of the museum, fuming and worrying. You had hoped that she would come back soon, and that she would realize her mistake.

But she didn't.

She came back an hour later, looking happy and excited. She had told you that she had found out some important information from the curator, and that they were close to solving the case.

She had also told you that the curator was a nice and interesting person, and that you had shown her some amazing artworks. She had said that he was very knowledgeable and passionate about art, and that he had invited her to come back again.

She had asked you if you wanted to join them for dinner, saying that it would be rude to decline.

You had exploded.

You had accused her of being foolish and irresponsible, and of risking their lives for nothing. You had also accused her of being unfaithful and insensitive, and of hurting your feelings.

You had told her that you didn't want to join them for dinner, or for anything else. You had told her that you was done with her, and with their partnership.

You had stormed out of the museum, leaving Amelia behind.

You regretted your words as soon as you said them. You realized that you had overreacted, and that you had been unfair to Amelia. You wanted to apologize to her, but you didn't know how.

You tried to call her later that night, but she didn't answer. You tried again the next day, but she still didn't answer.

You wondered if she hated you, or if she still cared about you.

You missed her terribly.

You never saw her again.

Until today.

You sighed as you remembered that day. You wished you could take back what you said, and what you did. You wished you could tell Amelia how you really felt about her.

You walked into the restaurant, hoping to find a clue from your secret admirer.

You looked around, and you saw a small envelope taped to a table. It was the same table where you and Amelia used to sit together.
