[🥐] A Dog's Love ( Part 1 )

It was a dark and stormy night. You was driving your car back to your apartment after a long day at work. You had treated many animals today, from cats and dogs to birds and reptiles. You loved your job, but you also felt lonely sometimes. You had no family, no friends, and no girlfriend. You wished you had someone to share your life with.

As you was approaching your clinic, which was on the ground floor of your apartment building, you saw something that caught your eye. It was a small, brown puppy, shivering and wet in front of the clinic's door. It looked like it had been abandoned by its owner, or maybe it had lost its way. You felt a surge of pity and compassion for the poor creature. You parked your car and got out, walking towards the puppy.

"Hey, little girl, what are you doing here?" you asked softly, kneeling down and reaching out his hand. 

The puppy looked up at you with big, sad eyes. It whimpered and wagged its tail slightly, as if asking for help. You smiled and gently picked up the puppy, holding it close to your chest. 

"Don't worry, I'll take care of you. You're coming home with me." 

You carried the puppy to your car and placed it on the passenger seat. You wrapped it in a blanket and turned on the heater. You drove to your apartment and parked your car in the garage. You took the puppy with you and entered the elevator. You pressed the button for the tenth floor, where your apartment was located. You opened the door and walked in, carrying the puppy.

"Welcome to your new home, sweetie," you said, looking around your spacious and cozy apartment.

You had a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a balcony. You had decorated your apartment with paintings, plants, and books. You had everything you needed, except for a companion.

You decided to name the puppy Korone, after your favorite Vtuber from Hololive. You was a fan of Inugami Korone, a cute and funny dog girl who played video games and made people laugh. You often watched her streams and videos, and you felt a connection with her. You thought that naming your puppy after her would make you feel less lonely.

You took Korone to the bathroom and gave her a warm bath. You dried her with a towel and brushed her fur. You put a collar and a tag on her, with her name and phone number. You then took her to the kitchen and fed her some dog food and water. You watched as Korone ate and drank with gusto, wagging her tail and licking your face. You felt a warm and fuzzy feeling in your heart. You had never seen such a grateful and affectionate puppy.

You took Korone to the living room and sat on the couch. You turned on the TV and switched to the channel that showed Korone's Vtuber stream. You saw her playing a horror game and screaming and laughing. You smiled and chuckled, enjoying her antics. You looked at your puppy and saw that she was also watching the TV with interest. You wondered if she recognized her namesake.

You lifted Korone and placed her on your lap. You stroked her fur and scratched her ears. You felt Korone snuggle against you and nuzzle your neck. You heard her make a soft and happy sound. You felt a surge of love and happiness. You hugged Korone and kissed her head. 

You whispered in her ear, "I'm so glad I found you. You're my best friend."

You felt Korone lick your cheek and whisper back, "I'm so glad you found me. You're my best friend too."

You didn't hear her. You thought it was your imagination. You didn't know that Korone was not an ordinary puppy. You didn't know that Korone had a secret. You didn't know that Korone was a dog spirit who could transform into a human girl. You didn't know that Korone was in love with you.

You didn't know that your life was about to change forever.
