You was a student in high school who had a passion for cooking. You learned how to cook from your grandmother, who was a famous chef in her hometown. You inherited her talent and creativity, and you was always experimenting with new recipes and ingredients. You was confident in your skills, and you often participated in cooking competitions and won prizes.

You had a crush on Haato, your classmate who also loved cooking. But Haato was not interested in you. She saw you as her rival, and she was always challenging you to cooking contests. She wanted to prove herself as the better cook, and she wanted to make you acknowledge her.

But she always lost. No matter what she cooked, you always cooked something better. You had more experience, more knowledge, and more flair. You always impressed the judges and the audience with your dishes, while Haato's dishes were often mediocre or flawed.

She was stubborn and proud, and she never admitted defeat. She would always say, "One day, I will beat you in cooking, Y/N! You just wait and see!"

You didn't mind the challenges. You enjoyed them, because they gave you a chance to see Haato's cute expressions and hear her voice. You also admired her passion and determination, even though she was sometimes rude and sassy. You thought she was adorable when she tried to act tough and confident, but you could see through her facade.

You wanted to make her happy with your food, and you wanted to confess your feelings to her. But you didn't know how to do it. You was afraid that she would reject you or laugh at you. You was afraid that you would lose her friendship or respect.

So you kept your feelings to yourself, and you waited for the right moment.

One day, after school, Haato approached you in the hallway.

"Hey, Y/N! I have a challenge for you!" she said.

"Not again," You sighed.

You knew what she wanted.

"What is it this time?" you asked.

"A cake baking contest! The theme is Valentine's Day. We have to bake a cake that expresses our love for someone," Haato said.

She smiled wickedly.

"Are you up for it?" she asked.

You hesitated.

You didn't want to bake a cake for someone else. You wanted to bake a cake for Haato.

But you couldn't say that.

You didn't want to lose the challenge either.

You wanted to show Haato your skills.

You wanted to impress her.

You nodded.

"Okay, I accept your challenge," you said.

Haato clapped her hands.

"Great! Let's meet at the home economics room tomorrow after school. We'll have one hour to bake our cakes. Then we'll present them to the teacher and the class representative. They'll be our judges," she said.

She winked at you.

"May the best cook win," she said.

She walked away, leaving you alone.

You sighed again.

You wondered what you got yourself into.

That night, you had an idea. You decided to cook for Haato on Valentine's Day and confess your love to her. You thought that it would be the perfect opportunity to show her your true feelings and make her smile. You wanted to surprise her with a romantic gesture, and you wanted to impress her with your culinary skills.

You spent days planning the menu, choosing the ingredients, and practicing the dishes. You wanted to make everything perfect for her. You wanted to cook something that would suit her taste, something that would express your love, something that would make her say yes.

You also made a reservation at a nice restaurant near the school, where you would take her after school on Valentine's Day. You hoped that she would accept your invitation and your confession.

You prepared everything in advance, and you hid your preparations from Haato. You didn't want to spoil the surprise or raise her suspicions.

You was nervous and excited at the same time.

You couldn't wait for Valentine's Day.

The next day, you went to the home economics room with your ingredients and tools. You saw Haato there with her own stuff. She looked confident and smug.

"Hey, Y/N! Are you ready to lose?" she said.

"No way. I'm going to win this challenge," You said.

They glared at each other.

The teacher came in and explained the rules of the contest. They had one hour to bake their cakes. They had to use their own ingredients and tools. They had to follow the theme of Valentine's Day. They had to present their cakes to the teacher and the class representative at the end of the hour. They would be judged based on taste, appearance, creativity, and theme relevance.

The teacher started the timer.

"Ready, set, go!" he said.

You and Haato began to bake their cakes.
