You was a huge fan of Hololive, especially of Murasaki Shion, a self-proclaimed dark magician who streamed games and other content on YouTube. You loved her smug attitude, her cute voice, and her hilarious puns. You watched all of her streams and supported her with super chats and comments. You even bought her merchandise and joined her fan club, the Shio-ldren.
One day, you received an email from Hololive that changed your life. It said:
"Dear Y/N,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as one of the candidates for the position of Murasaki Shion's manager. As you may know, Shion is one of our most popular talents and we are looking for someone who can assist her with various tasks such as setting up streams, fixing technical issues, managing schedules, and taking care of her well-being.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please reply to this email with your resume and a short introduction of yourself. We will contact you soon with more details.
Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for Hololive.
Sincerely,
Hololive Production"
You couldn't believe your eyes. Was this a prank? A scam? A dream? You pinched yourself to make sure you was awake. You checked the sender's address and verified that it was indeed from Hololive. You felt a surge of excitement and nervousness. You had always wanted to meet Shion in person, but to work with her as her manager? That was beyond your wildest fantasies.
You quickly typed a reply, attaching your resume and writing a brief introduction of yourself. You emphasized your passion for Hololive and Shion, your skills in gaming and technology, and your availability and flexibility. You hit send and waited anxiously for a response.
The next day, you received another email from Hololive. It said:
"Dear Y/N,
Thank you for your interest in becoming Murasaki Shion's manager. We have reviewed your resume and we are impressed by your qualifications and experience. We would like to invite you to an online interview with us and Shion herself.
The interview will take place on Zoom at 3 pm tomorrow. Please prepare yourself accordingly and be punctual. The interview will last for about an hour and will consist of some questions about yourself, your knowledge of Hololive and Shion, and some scenarios that you may encounter as a manager.
We look forward to meeting you soon.
Sincerely,
Hololive Production"
You felt a mix of joy and fear. You was one step closer to becoming Shion's manager, but you also had to face her directly in an interview. You wondered what she would think of you, what she would ask you, what she would expect from you. You hoped you wouldn't mess up or disappoint her.
You spent the rest of the day preparing for the interview. You reviewed your resume, researched more about Hololive and Shion, practiced some possible questions and answers, and checked your internet connection and webcam. You also dressed up in a smart casual outfit and groomed yourself well.
At 3 pm sharp, you logged into Zoom and joined the meeting room. You saw two faces on the screen: one was a man in a suit who introduced himself as the director of Hololive Production, and the other was... Shion herself!
She looked exactly like her avatar: a petite girl with silver hair, yellow eyes, purple dress, purple hat, and purple crescent moon earrings. She smiled at you and said:
"Hellshio! Murasaki Shion here! Nice to meet you!"
You felt your heart skip a beat. You couldn't believe you was talking to your idol live. You tried to calm yourself down and said:
"Hello! I'm Y/N! I'm a big fan of yours! Thank you for this opportunity!"
Shion giggled and said:
"Aww, thank you! You're so sweet! I'm glad to meet you too!"
The director cleared his throat and said:
"Alright, let's begin the interview. Y/N, please tell us more about yourself."
You nodded and started to talk about your background, education, hobbies, skills, etc. You tried to sound confident and professional, but you also couldn't help but glance at Shion from time to time. She listened attentively and nodded along, occasionally asking you some questions or making some comments.
The interview went smoothly for the most part. You answered most of the questions correctly and showed your enthusiasm and knowledge for Hololive and Shion. You also handled some tricky scenarios well, such as how to deal with haters, technical difficulties, or schedule conflicts.
However, there was one question that caught you off guard. It was from Shion herself. She asked you:
"Y/N, I have a very important question for you. Do you have a crush on me?"
You felt your face turn red. You didn't know how to answer that. You did have a crush on her, but you didn't want to sound creepy or desperate. You also didn't want to lie or offend her. You stammered and said:
"Uh... well... I mean... you're very... uh..."
Shion smiled and said:
"It's okay, Y/N. You don't have to be shy. I can tell you like me. And I like you too."
Your eyes widened. You couldn't believe what you just heard. Did Shion just confess to you? Was this a joke? A test? A trap?
You looked at the director, who nodded and said:
"That's right, Y/N. This is not a prank. This is part of the interview. You see, Shion is not only looking for a manager, but also for a boyfriend. She has been lonely for a long time and she wants someone who can love her and support her in both her personal and professional life. She has been watching your streams and comments and she has developed feelings for you. She thinks you are the perfect match for her."
You felt your head spin. You couldn't process what was happening. You looked at Shion again, who winked and said:
"So, Y/N, what do you say? Will you be my manager and my boyfriend?"
