[🍙] The Cat Next Door ( Part 1 )

You had just moved to a new town with your family. You was nervous about starting a new school and making new friends. You hoped that your neighbors would be nice and friendly.

You didn't expect to meet a cat girl on your first day.

You was unpacking your boxes in your room when you heard a knock on the door. you opened it and saw a girl with cat ears and a tail standing outside. She had long purple hair and purple eye. She smiled at you and said, "Hi, I'm Okayu. I live next door. I came to welcome you to the neighborhood."

You was speechless. You had never seen a cat girl before. You wondered if she was a cosplayer or a VTuber or something. You stared at her ears and tail, wondering if they were real.

"Um, hi," you finally managed to say. "I'm Y/N. I just moved here with my family."

"Nice to meet you, Y/N," Okayu said. "Do you like video games?"

You nodded. You loved video games. You had brought your console and your laptop with you, along with your favorite games.

"Me too," Okayu said. "I'm part of hololive Gamers, a group of VTubers who play games online. You can check out my channel if you want."

She handed you a card with her name, her emoji, and her social media links.

"Wow, you're a VTuber?" You asked, impressed.

"Yup," Okayu said proudly. "I have over two million subscribers on YouTube."

"That's amazing," You said.

"Thanks," Okayu said. "So, do you want to hang out with me? I can show you around the town and introduce you to some of my friends."

You hesitated. You wanted to be polite, but you also wanted to finish unpacking and setting up your room. You didn't know if you was ready to go out with a stranger, especially a cat girl.

"Um, maybe later?" you said.

Okayu pouted. She looked disappointed.

"Please?" she said. "I'm bored and lonely. And hungry."

She rubbed her stomach and made a cute face.

You felt a pang of guilt. She looked so adorable and pitiful. You wondered if she was trying to manipulate you with her charm.

You sighed and gave in.

"Okay, fine," you said. "But only for a little while."

Okayu cheered and hugged you.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she said. "You're so nice and kind and generous!"

She let go of you and grabbed your hand.

"Come on, let's go!" she said. "There's a lot to see and do!"

She dragged you out of your room and down the stairs.

"Mom, Dad, I'm going out with Okayu!" you shouted as they left the house.

Your parents looked out of the window and saw you leaving with the cat girl.

They exchanged confused looks.

"Who's Okayu?" your mom asked.

"I don't know," your dad said. "But she's cute."

They shrugged and went back to their work.

Okayu took you to the town center, where there were shops, cafes, and parks. She showed you her favorite places and told you stories about them.

She took you to a game store, where she bought a new game for her console. She said she wanted to play it with you later.

She took you to a cafe, where she ordered a large coffee and a slice of cake. She said she loved sweets and caffeine.

She took you to a park, where she played with some stray cats. She said she could talk to them and understand them.

You was amazed by her. She was energetic, cheerful, and curious. She seemed to know everything and everyone in the town. She was also very popular. Everywhere they went, people greeted her and complimented her. Some of them recognized her as a VTuber and asked for her autograph or a selfie.

You felt a bit overwhelmed by all the attention. You was shy and quiet, and you preferred to keep a low profile. You wondered how Okayu could handle being so famous and outgoing.

You also felt a bit jealous of her. She had so many fans and friends, while you had none. You wished you could be more like her.

You tried to keep up with her pace and enthusiasm, but you soon got tired and bored. You wanted to go back to your house and relax.

You looked at your watch and saw that it was almost dinner time.

"Hey, Okayu," you said. "It's getting late. I think we should go back."

Okayu looked at you and frowned.

"Already?" she said. "But we're having so much fun!"

She pouted and made a cute face.

"Please?" she said. "Can't we stay a little longer?"

You shook your head.

"Sorry, but I have to go," you said. "My parents are waiting for me."

You hoped that she would understand and let you go.

But she didn't.

She grabbed your arm and pulled you closer.

"Please, please, please!" she said. "Just one more thing!"

She looked into your eyes and smiled.

"I want to show you something special," she said. "Something that only you can see."

She leaned in and whispered in your ear.

"Something that will make you fall in love with me."

You felt a shiver run down your spine. You felt Okayu's breath on your neck and her chest on your arm. You felt her heartbeat and her warmth.

You blushed and looked away. You didn't know how to react. You was confused and nervous.

You liked Okayu, but you didn't know if you liked her that way. You barely knew her. They had just met today.

You wondered what she meant by something special. You wondered what she wanted to show you. You wondered what she wanted from you.

You wanted to say no, but you couldn't. You was too polite and too curious.

You nodded and followed her.

She led you to a secluded spot in the park, behind some bushes and trees. There was a small pond with a wooden bridge over it. There were some benches and lanterns around it. It was quiet and peaceful.

Okayu smiled and let go of your arm.

"Here we are," she said. "This is my secret place."

She walked to the edge of the pond and looked at the water.

"I come here when I want to be alone," she said. "When I want to relax and think."

She turned to you and gestured for you to join her.

"Come on," she said. "It's beautiful here."

You walked to her side and looked at the pond. You saw some fish swimming and some flowers floating. You saw the sun setting and the sky changing colors. You saw their reflections on the water.

You had to admit, it was beautiful.

You smiled and nodded.

"It is," you said.

Okayu took your hand and squeezed it.

"I'm glad you like it," she said. "I wanted to share it with you."

She looked into your eyes and moved closer.

"Because I like you," she said softly.

She leaned in and kissed you.
