Your wish, my command

Chapter 23

Jungkook enters the chamber he shares with the alpha before entering his room. The huge walls of the room which are void of any paintings, the climbers that nest themselves on the railing of the balcony, the moon light entering their room, everything looks blurred.

He sits down on the bed as his teary doe eyes stare at the moon. The star beside the moon is at a distance but still close. Many thoughts swirl in his mind as he keeps staring at the moon and star as if measuring the distance between them.

He didn't really wish for his mate to accept the queen's proposal. The queen who is his own mother acts as if he is debt of someone else. As if he is a mistake.

He doesn't want to go back to Pluotiris especially when he has just decided to overcome his fears. He doesn't want to go back to the same black hole that will drain out all of his courage of forgetting the past and accepting the present.

He keeps crying. Crying over his fate, crying over him being away from the people of Phoenix.

A harsh wind blows just above his naked skin under his clothes making him jolt up from his sleep.

Sweat forming on his forehead and neck, Jungkook moves his eyes on his left only to find no one there.

Was it a dream? Jungkook frowns as he tries to recollect whatever he could remember. He remembers meeting the queen who asked him to come with her to Pluotiris and the way he said no before leaving for his room.

He also remembers that he was reading a book sitting on the bed and after that he remembers nothing. He is now sure that he fell asleep while reading the book.

He moves his gaze around him only to find a blanket covering his lower body while the book is kept on the bookshelf. He knows that it must be the alpha doing this for him. He could smell the alpha's scent lingering over him.

A sigh of relief leaves his mouth when the realization of him not leaving Phoenix hits him.

The luna gets up from where he was sitting before making his way out of their room towards the kitchen. He wishes to encounter the alpha on his way to the kitchen but unfortunately he couldn't find the alpha.

He enters the kitchen where Jin was cooking some meat in a huge pot along with some boiled vegetables. The other Omegas and alphas were helping him as they chop the vegetables in to small pieces which Jungkook guessed to be for salad.

"Jin hyung, do you need my help? ", the luna asks as soon as he enters the kitchen before standing in front of the omega.

" Jungkook-ah, where were you? I assumed you are in your room and went ahead with the cooking. ", Jin says as he pats the younger's back.

" I fell asleep, hyung. But now I am here so let me help you.", Jungkook says as he takes a seat beside the omega who was chopping carrots.

The conversations held during cooking are Jungkook's favorite. He loves how the alphas and Omegas also betas share snippets of their life. It's makes him know his pack members more closely. It helps him to understand them more and so he can easily help them during major problems.

"Luna, today is the last day of our Annual fest. Why don't you put up your cake stall like you did on the first day? I asked Jin hyung but he denied.", Yuna whines as she bites down on one of the carots eating it with a sulling face.

" Yuna, the cake stall we had put on was only because me and Jin hyung like baking. And also, me and your head alpha have many other things to look for. Jin hyung cannot handle the stall alone.", Jungkook informs earning a nod from Yuna who had a visible pout on his face.
