Chapter 29

Very dramatic chapter ahead.

The winters arrived sooner than expected. Unfortunately, they are worse than they usually are.

Every member of Phoenix is focused on protecting themselves from the heavy snowfall they are experiencing in early December.

In Phoenix, the snowfall would usually start from the first week of January but the sudden arrival have made the people of Phoenix feel a little under prepared.

The shorter days and longer nights doesn't help either. The snow just keeps pilling up, making it unfavorable for people to walk on the road.

The population of Phoenix is not enough to clean all the snow and remove it from the middle of the roads. Another problem that raises is the presence of snow over the roof of people's hut which is causing the walls of the houses to be cold making it unfit for residence.

Taehyung stands tall and stoic on his balcony as he observes the view. The snow gliding over the roofs. The pack members gathering around to clear the roads, pushing the heaps of snow out of the way.

The alpha knows that they are going to experience more of this as time goes by and that they should be prepared to face the upcoming calamities.

The strong winds make the door of the balcony bang with the railing that is supporting it's structure. The alpha's kingpin eyes doesn't fail to observe how his pack members were shivering due to cold although they were covered with warm clothes from head to toe.

Even though the huts are located at a place which is covered with trees, with proper water and other necessities, they are experiencing so many problems, he can't even think of what his soldiers must be going through.

Fortunately, they are trained to live in such calamities but at the end of the day they too are mere living organisms trying to survive on earth.

He has already mindlinked with general Yoongi to know about the soldiers conditions and everything looks normal from what Yoongi had informed.

Hopefully, the winds will stop in a few hours which looks impossible but hope is the only constant.

Taehyung moves his gaze towards the room he shares with his mate when a strong waft of eucalyptus invades his senses.

"Go inside, my heart. It's cold outside.", Taehyung utters, his gaze fixed on Jungkook's beautiful face.

Winters have surely brought a little change in the Luna. Somehow, Jungkook looks more lively and beautiful then  he already is.

There are some moments where Taehyung can't take his eyes off the Luna's face. Only he knows how he controls himself from brushing his palm over the Luna's red cheeks. He wants to know if the red blush is real or a tint.

He wants to feel the softness of the skin especially when he sees his brother in law Jin and cousin Jimin pinching his mate's cheeks every chance they get.

He loves to watch how the luna pouts whenever they do this to him. Don't let Taehyung start about the Luna's plump lips. The luna is going to be the death of the alpha.

"Aren't you cold, alpha Taehyung? It's been hours since you are standing in the balcony without any trace of warm clothes covering your body.", Jungkook questions.

He comes to stand beside the alpha who now has his eyes fixed on him. Jungkook shivers when a strong wind passes by, making him pull his shawl closer to his body.

"How can I stay warm when my pack members are working in such a cold weather? ", Taehyung asks the luna who now has his eyes fixed on the pack members who are working on the road.
