Chapter 38(b)

Jungkook frowns when an omega about his age comes to stand beside Taehyung, holding his arms. There's a smile on her face before her lips form a pout when she mentions how she misses Taehyung.

Without any delay, Jungkook's eyes unconsciously move towards their joined hands. It eases his heart when he finds out that even though the omega has her fingers laced around Taehyung's palm, the alpha hasn't wrapped his fingers around hers.

It looks as if only she's the one holding his hands. A one sided hand holding if that even makes any sense.

Jungkook doesn't know why but he relaxes at the realization that Taehyung hasn't laced his fingers with the omega as he always does with him. But this doesn't mean that he can be shoved away from his mate by some random omega.

He's wants to say so many things but chooses not to. Well, he's a man with self respect. If Taehyung respects him enough then he will surely correct the omega for her wrong doings. And if the alpha feels that whatever she did was fine and digestible then well, Jungkook is not going to take it well.

It will only loosen the thread of trust which he has built for the alpha. In that case, it's not Jungkook's fault if he fails to trust Taehyung.

"Jisun, you have no right to separate my luna away from me. You have disrespected him. Apologize to him right now."

Jungkook snaps his eyes at the alpha who's glaring at the omega who's standing besides him, their hands no longer laced with each other. Taehyung looks angry. Jungkook could feel it in their bond but he chooses not to interfere. Whatever the omega did was disrespectful and so, she deserves the alpha's wrath.

"But Tae... ", Jisun closes her mouth shut, gulping as she turns to look at Jungkook.

The luna could see the rage in her eyes. And he very well knows for whom the rage is indicated to. He looks at her, not breaking their staring contest.

" I apologize, luna. Please forgive me.", Jisun bows, her hands forming a fist as she tries her best to control the anger bubbling inside her.

"I accept your apology, umm..Jisun. I hope you have realised that alpha is no longer only the head alpha of Phoenix but also my mate. So I want you to be aware of the new changes and behave accordingly.", Jungkook smiles. Fake one but he does.

Without even batting an eye towards him, Jisun turns back to Taehyung, her eyes turning small as she looks at Taehyung with teary eyes.

" How are you Tae? And why didn't you invite me to your wedding? I understand that it was a marriage out of fate and not love but still. ", Jisun whines, a pout resting on her lips.

She's being too clingy, Jungkook observes. He sucked his breath in when Jisun once again wraps her arms around Taehyung, standing too close to his mate. The luna is not liking this at all. He has his eyes stuck at her hands which are wrapped around Taehyung's, not to forget the way her front is sticking to Taehyung's side profile.

"Jisun, first of all, you don't have the right to decide whether our marriage was out of bond or out of love. Secondly, I am busy right now. I'll talk to you after some time. Please enjoy the bonfire.", Taehyung jerks his hand out of her grip before making his way towards Jungkook .

Jungkook smiles when Taehyung laces his fingers with his own. He looks into Jisun's eyes that are already glaring at him. He smirks, his inner alpha dancing in joy. The feeling of victory surfacing throughout his body. His mate chose him over some omega. This shows who has the upper hand.

Jungkook follows Taehyung, blinding walking wherever the alpha takes him. He tightens his grip over the alpha's hand, not wanting to leave his hand. He scrunches his nose when he could smell Jisun's burning scent. Him being sensitive to smell sometimes becomes a disadvantage for him.
