When God offers you something, he does it beyond your own limits. Something you can't handle on your own. You will feel overwhelmed with how much you have been given. For someone who has been living all his life with an empty feeling in their chest, giving them a person whom they will cherish and their feelings will be reciprocated, only two things can happen.

One, the person will combust due to the overly given love. Second, he might do something so harsh that it will be beyond repair.

For Taehyung, his fate has given him his mate. The person who he cherishes the most and also the person who reciprocates his feelings. And Taehyung fears that he might be a victim of his own fate.

There are two consequences. Out of these two consequences, Taehyung is sure that he will be the victim of the first possibility. But he is afraid that his own demons might lead to his own downfall. He is not afraid of hurting himself but Jungkook.

The demons that have been not letting him sleep all these years. The same demons that have suddenly vanished since Jungkook's arrival. Sometimes, Taehyung wonders if Jungkook is his happy pill. Since the Luna's arrival, most of his problems have vanished into thin air.

Is this the Luna's aura? Or the angelic power that he carries along with him? He doesn't know. He doesn't even want to find out.

Currently as they lie on the make-shift bed with their eyes closed and minds dreaming of something, the lights of the sun do not choose whom to shine upon. Humans have preferences. Nature doesn't.

People present with Taehyung during his childhood had preferences as well. Preferences of choosing the best. Taehyung didn't. But he never cared about it until something oh so precious to him was taken away.

That day, he had realised that being a saint in a world like this will do no good. People here are thieves. Sadist. They don't care that their happiness of two seconds might become a torture to someone for the rest of their lives.

He looks at Jungkook. His lashes flutter as his feline orbs stare at the mole the luna carries just below his lower lip.

Once upon a time, the planets and the fates and all the stars aligned together, they say.

Taehyung had laughed viciously when he had first heard this saying but now while a warm breathing body lies next to him, he  finds the words to be true. Namjoon had once told him that if it's meant to be, it'll be. And Taehyung finally realizes how true he was.

If him and Jungkook were meant to be together, then they will. They are together. Right now. At this moment. Taehyung's world is lying in his arms. Breathing. Alive.

He blinks open his eyes, the strong rays of the sun blinding him. He breathes out a sigh. At least, the ice is melting due to the sun. His fingers twitch when they feel a warm and soft surface under them making him look to his side.

The figure besides him squirms, making taehyung halt his fingers from caressing the soft surface. His feline eyes move to see how his fingers look as they caress the Luna's soft skin. Taehyung's fingers are perched upon the dip of the Luna's waist, the small gap between his pants and the knot of his hanbok that has loosened.

He quickly jerks his hand away from Jungkook's naked skin. He pulls the Luna's hanbok down, covering his skin. He would never take advantage of Jungkook's vulnerability.

Taehyung feels like he is a gaurd of a huge jewel basement. Just like the guard who is are afraid of loosing the jewels they have been tasked to guard, the alpha is afraid that the luna will be stolen away from him. He is scared.

When a food recipe ruins even after all your efforts, there will always be this inclination in your heart this food recipe is not meant for you, that it will never come out to be perfect if you cook it. And hence, you'll never try.
