Chapter 4

Alpha Taehyung walks through the border of his pack watching the soldiers patrolling the borders.
Not even blinking their eyes for a second. He knows the soldiers are trained well by the general.

Min Yoongi never fells to fulfil his duty. Earlier as a warrior and now as a general. The alpha thought that the habit of doing his best would crumble when Yoongi finds his mate but to his surprise it doesn't. Hoseok being a supportive mate never stopped his alpha from going to wars or training other soldiers to do the same.

All the soldiers salutes the alpha who greets them back with a nod. The alpha comes to the pack borders once a week to look after his soldiers necessities. He very well know that no pack will dare to declare a war against Phoenix after the incident that changed Taehyung's entire life.

The alpha climbs back on his horse moving towards the direction of the packhouse. He knows what is going to come his way as soon as he reaches the house surrounded by people who loves him dearly.

Jin stands on the main door as soon as he hears the neigh of the horse, putting his arms against the two pillars in order to stop the alpha from entering the house.

The alpha sighs looking at the head omega who was glaring at him ready to throw a fit.

He climbs up the five stairs before reaching the main door eyes boring at the male stoping him from going inside.

"How did you even consider leaving for the west before informing me? You knew I was returning the same day you left right? ", the omega asks almost accusing the alpha standing in front of him.

"It was important to leave immediately. The head alpha there was ready to sell the grains in exchange of sunflower and cocoa seeds.", the alpha informs voice calm, eyes staring straight into the head omega's.

Jin knows the alpha isn't lying. Alpha Kim Taehung never lies. And the fact that he can understand the urgency of accepting the deal was a plus.

Jin backed away giving space for the alpha to get inside the house. He keeps staring at the back of the trueblood who was walking up the stairs.

"Lord, please take care your child. I beg you to end his misery.", Jin prayed, eyes stinging with unwanted tears.

Namjoon who was watching the whole scene came upto his mate giving his shoulder an assuring squeeze.

"Moon goddess will look after him. One can never see his blood in pain for a long time.", Namjoon assures.

"If moon goddess wanted, she could have avoided all that is happening now. I can't see Taehyung suffer. I will raise hell if nothing good happens soon.", Jin seethed wiping his tears harshly.

Annual challenge has always been a very prestigious function in the asian continent. Every year, two packs challenge each other. The losing pack head will have to descend from it's throne and hand over it to the winning pack.

This year the two challenging packs are Phoenix and Pluotiris.
The challengers are declared with luck chestnuts. Every pack or province is given a number and if their number matches the number of chestnuts picked randomly than they will have to participate in the challenge.

So this is how the Phoenix and the Pluotiris pack are challenging each other.

All the pack members of both the challenging packs had gathered at the open ground where both the heads will have a fight.

Since, the Pluotiris head was a female, alpha Taehyung had denied fighting with her. The queen of Plutotiris was more than happy with the trueblood's decision. So instead of her, the general of her pack was going to fight against the trueblood alpha.

A horn was played along with the soldiers of both the packs marching towards the flag poles hoisting the flags representing their particular pack.

The audience was divided in two groups supporting their respective pack. One more horn was blowed welcoming the head alpha of Phoenix pack. Trueblood Alpha Kim Taehyung arrived with Head Noble Kim Namjoon and Head Omega Kim Seokjin who sat on their respective seats while the head alpha sat on his throne.

Another blew of horn was heard when the Queen of Pluotiris arrived along with her general, Lee Sean.

The general had a smirk plastered on his lips, overconfident of defeating the trueblood. The queen must have reelled him enough to not fear. Defeating a trueblood would have brought a rise in the position of the general, maybe the right hand of the queen.

The croud cheered for both the fighters, supporting their representatives.

"Taehyung, I want you to control Adolfa. We don't want to create any rukus over here. Even the queen of Pluotiris knows that this fight will be one sided so we can't give her the slightest of chance to manipulate the final decision.", Namjoon said patting his brother's back.

"I know brother.", Alpha Taehyung says before walking inside the field.
Both the fighters, took their positions on the ground, eyes boring at each others soul ready to ripe each others heart.

Although the alpha wolf Adolfa was requesting Taehyung to alow him to take over but alpha Taehyung denied, not wanting to shed blood and kill the general.

Alpha Taehyung was the first one to make a move punching straight on the general's jaw. The general quickly got back to his position, angry, jaw clenched spitting out blood.

The general cracked his neck before running in the direction of the trueblood but Taehyung was quick enough to move and kick the generals knee which made the general fall on the ground. Alpha Taehyung took this opportunity to sit on the general's stomack, getting hold of both his hands, punching a bone crashing punch on the general's nose making him unable to breath.

The trueblood was about to punch one more time but the general was quick enough to give up, not wanting to die this instant. The fight was clearly one sided, the general not able to keep up with the trueblood.

Alpha Taehyung got up from the general's body when he got the waft of Lavender with a hint of Jasmine. His eyes roam around the croud, breath hitching when he caught the purple eyes staring at him.
