The full moon was shining like a silvery claw surrounded by dozens of stars making the dark sky look beautiful. The howl of wolfs, the roar of lion coming from the far end of the forest that is void of any shapeshifters. The pack house that stood in the middle of the land of Phoenix was buzzing with the resonance of laughter and words that spill out of the living beings taking shelter under it's roof.
The two pair of mates and one overly dramatic single were sitting down on a soft rug with a board made up of wood with checks perfectly made over it kept in the middle.
The game of Anagram being a very popular game since ages has been carrying it's presence and honor in the present century too. Taehyung remembers playing it when he was a child with Namjoon and Jimin.
Although he never had any chance in front of his elder brother, Taehyung was always determined to somehow make his brother lose the game.
Namjoon being an ace when it comes to words, Taehyung is sure that his brother would had been successful in luring Jin even if they weren't fated mates just by his words.
His strongest competitor sits adjacent to him with a smirk on his face, already planning on ways to show off his victory on everyone's face. Surprisingly, opposite to him is his heart who looks confused yet his mind is filled with the encouraging words said by Jin.
To his right sits Jimin who he doesn't even consider as a competitor very well aware of how uneducated his brother is when it comes to playing anagrams. He would have been able to earn a partner for him if he would have been good with words but it's none of Taehyung's business.
It all started when Jimin exclaimed to be good at board games nonchalantly challenging his brothers to play a game with him. To his utter disappointment, the game chosen being Anagrams, Jimin looks more then confident on his win.
Taehyung wonders how his beloved cousin gets the courage of being so confident when from inside he is scared of coming last as always.
The new player being Jungkook who claims to be a newbie since he has never played this game before, Taehyung finds him getting mesmerized by how his mate's brows furrow in concentration, his gaze darting from the board back to Namjoon who is explaining him the rules.
The game is simple. As the word suggests, anagrams means the words formed by rearranging the letters of another, such as race, formed from care.
Jungkook nods his head at that as his mind tries to sum up all the rules and make a collective collage of it as it becomes easier to store it in his memory.
"Jungkook, you will have to win. These alphas seems to be too proud of their knowledge. You should definitely beat them. ", Jin pats the younger's back as he makes him take his own seat.
Now sitting in front of his mate who as always has his eyes fixed on him makes him fuss. With determination filled in his mind and heart trying his best to ignore the not so subtle stare of his mate, Jungkook sits there with his eyes fixed on the board game.
" I have come prepared this time. Not gonna lose. ", Taehyung hopes Jimin's overconfidence doesn't take him down in one go.
It would be embarrassing if Jimin loses before Jungkook, a newbie.
The game starts with Namjoon making the first word, wolf. The clockwise direction makes Jungkook the second candidate to play who phrases the words making them spell, flow.
Loud cheers coming from beside him where Jin is sitting.
The third candidate being Jimin, the letters formed are, bets. Taehyung is quick enough to turn them into, best.
