Chapter 24

It's been two days at sea, they're supposed to reach Bermuda tonight or tomorrow. The yacht is enormous and there's a lot to do, but Genesis is starting to get annoyed with being on the boat the whole time. "Are you tired of us yet?" Hannah narrows her eyes and she sits down on one of the beds next to Ginny's.

"Exhausted," Genesis corrects her and she smiles wide, not wanting Hannah to notice it. Natalia follows her and she lays down on the third bed. "How could you possibly be tired of us?" She laughs and puts her sunglasses over her eyes. "Be stuck on a boat for three days and you'll get tired eventually," Genesis answers.

"You're demoting this yacht to a fucking boat?" Hannah sips her drink and she looks at the girl next to her. "It's a thing floating on water and it takes us somewhere," Genesis explains, simplifying the meaning of a boat, "That makes it a boat to me." Natalia sits up straight. "Girl, this boat has multiple bedrooms, for guests and staff," she explains, "It's expensive and it looks pretty, it's a yacht."

Genesis laughs and she soaks in the sun. Hannah and Natalia close their eyes and enjoy the sun. The weather is nice and the more they reach Bermuda, the better it gets. "Maybe we'll find Sebastian a nice girl on the island?" Natalia suggests after a little while. Genesis sits up and she looks at the two women next to her with a devious smile. "We should set him up," Genesis says, "I'll talk to Gael-"

"No," Natalia and Hannah say at the same time. "Why not?" Genesis looks over at the two, her gaze switching between Natalia and Hannah. The confusion suddenly makes her realize that she's talking to Gael about topics that she never thought she'd talk to him about, topics that he told her to shut up about before.

And now he's also engaging in a conversation with her about these topics.

"Because he's a terrible liar," Natalia explains, interrupting the thoughts Genesis was having. "And he'll definitely tell Sebastian about it," Hannah adds. The two share a meaningful look and then look back at Genesis. "Fine, I won't tell," Genesis admits and she laughs, holding up her arms as a sign of surrender.

Natalia chuckles and she and Hannah start talking about the type of woman that Sebastian would find attractive. Genesis is engaging in the conversation, but she's not exactly there with her mind. Gael can see the three girls when he looks up through the window, he can see the smile on their faces every time the other says an excited joke.

Occasionally he can even hear one of them laugh.

"¿Cuando decidiste que te caía bien?," a smirk grows on Mattias's face when he says that, 'When did you decide to like her?'. Not that Gael actually made that decision, but every time he looks at her it's like a flip switch again. "No fue una decisión". Gael scoffs, but he doesn't respond.

'It wasn't a decision'. That's not a lie. He didn't decide to just like her at one point, he didn't decide to want to have her around. "La última vez que los vi lo único que querías era burlarte y quejarte de ella," Mattias adds, he sips his beer to hide the laugh that was about to come out.

'Last time I saw you two together, all you wanted to do was make fun of her and complain about her.' Not that he was wrong, Gael knows exactly that he's right. It's exactly what he did. But that doesn't mean he has to bring it up every time Gael gives him the smallest hint that he enjoys spending time with Genesis.

James laughs and the guy looks at his friends. Then he elbows Mattias quietly and he whispers in his ear. "De suguro es buen polvo," it wasn't quiet enough for Gael to hear.
