Chapter 27
Ginny sits down at the breakfast table, she's wearing shorts this time with a tight shirt tucked in. Gael joins her immediately and he sits down, he breathes out the second he sits down. "You guys fucked this morning," Hannah states and she takes another bite from her bread.
"Yes," Genesis says confidently and she leans back. Her confident answer to the statement is undermined with a bright pink blush that spreads across her cheeks.
The staff members immediately bring out plates with breakfast and Ginny looks at Gael, trying to send him a mental note to also get staff on the yacht she's buying with him. He places his hand on her thigh before smelling the food that's on his plate. "You guys are always the last to join us for breakfast," Mattias whines and he scrapes his plate, making sure to consume every bit of food.
"And if you're not going to let me eat we'll be a lot longer," Gael says and he quickly glares at Mattias before turning back to his food. Genesis stays quiet, already focusing on eating the food. Mattias pulls a face to mock Gael and he moves his plate aside.
Genesis finishes her breakfast not soon after. "In all seriousness, it's not an issue, right?" She looks at Hannah, knowing she'll be honest. "No," Hannah answers, it's a boat, of course, she can hear the two, but she's glad that Ginny and Gael reconnected. Hannah immediately receives some glares from the group, but nobody says a word.
The group finishes soon after, but decides to stay seated at the table for a little. "I wanted to go into town today," Jackson says, he's the first to speak up, "You know, visit some markets, little stores, boutiques."
Gael's face already cringes at the idea. He's not one to enjoy going into town, but when he sees Genesis's face light up at the thought. Just the thought of markets, little souvenir shops, and just walking around aimlessly sounds like a dream to Genesis. But in the back of her mind, she knows Gael hates it.
"That sounds like fun," she says, already looking forward to teasing Gael with whatever opportunity she has. Gael's eyes are already glued to the screen of his phone. "Are you guys ready to go like this?" Natalia looks at Genesis and Gael. Gael nods and he gets up. "I'll go get our stuff so you can finish breakfast," he says and he walks off again.
Genesis watches him go and she continues eating her breakfast. It doesn't take long for the group to leave the marina and go to the town with the markets that Jackson wanted to visit. The sun is out, already burning their skin.
Genesis holds Gael's hand and she walks with him through the streets. There's a large group of people walking through the streets towards the town's main street and Mattias follows them without thinking, the others immediately behind him.
There's music playing and the closer they get, the louder they get. When they reach the main street, they realize that the music isn't coming from speakers, but from an actual live band playing. They don't have equipment like microphones and speakers, they're using their voices and instruments to play the music.
Genesis walks towards one of the stands, her hips moving to the music without her knowing. "Do you like anything?" he asks. Genesis narrows her eyes. "I'm just looking," she says, smiling softly as her fingertips glide across the little magnets and postcards stalled on the table.
"4 for 2 U.S. dollars," the woman says, recognizing that they're from the US so they don't have the Bermudian dollar. Some countries allow people to pay in their currency, Mexico has some stores where they even prefer to get Dollars over Pesos.
Gael picks up two magnets he thinks are pretty and he gives the woman 5 dollars. "Keep the change," he says, smiling a little before turning to Genesis. She takes the magnets and slips them into her purse. "Come here," Gael says.
