Ratchet made Crosshairs, and I go back to our room. It's been hard to sleep the past two nights, even though we're told good news when we go to the medbay. Today, we're told Jamie woke up from the coma at midnight but was exhausted and went back to sleep.

Ratchet demanded Crosshairs, and I get breakfast. The others heard the good news; the cafeteria has a good vibe.
Sunstreaker is surprised we're sitting with him and that we asked both twins if they want to come to the medbay with us.

I'm happy Jamie is recovering, but things won't go well if Jamie sees me.
Sideswipe insists I go with him. Might as well see how much Jamie hates me now. The others will be pissed and tell me to stay away. Of course, Lightning and Knockout join us.

"You're not going in?" Ratchet asks.
"No, it's not going to go well."
Of course, Ratchet tells me I'm being ridiculous and insists I go into the room.

Sideswipe sits by the bed but moves, insisting I sit by Jamie. I didn't even sit before Jamie panicked. I hate how she holds on to Drift when he takes her out of bed. He managed to keep the leads on Jamie's chest. I see her heart rate go up before leaving the room.
For her to forget she was talking to Paul and his friends, to think I hurt her, shows how much I scared her. I'm sorry, Sideswipe, but I can't even let Jamie see me.

Damn, I didn't think Jamie would be like this when she woke up. Lightning and Knockout watch, shocked, having never seen this. While Crosshairs, Drift, Jolt, and Ratchet have.
"She's confusing her fear Sunstreaker will hurt her with what happened," Ratchet explains.
"I'm sorry, Jamie," I apologize though she can't hear me while crying. I watch Drift lay on the bed with her before leaving the medbay.

I didn't think Sunstreaker would be in our room.
"Ratchet tell you to leave?" He asks, laying on his bed.
"No, I had to leave," I sit on the bed, "I never want to see that again."
"I'm staying away from her."
"You giving up? I don't believe it."
"What can I do, Sideswipe?!"

Ten minutes pass before someone knocks on the door. I didn't think Crosshairs would want to talk to us or that Drift would leave Jamie alone even if she's asleep.

"You want me to keep trying? No, I can't, knowing that's how she'll be," Sunstreaker argues.
"You know she trusts us. We will tell her those soldiers hurt her," Drift explains.
"And her fear I will hurt you three? Or probably five now that she's seen Lighting and Knockout."
"Let her recover from her injuries, tell her what happened, and we'll go from there," I insist.

I don't want to give up, but I hated watching how scared Jamie got. I agree with Sideswipe's plan.

I decide to go get lunch at one. I see Jamie in a wheelchair and on oxygen with several Autobots, smiling. I know I can't keep avoiding her by going to my room to eat, but I will for now.
"Don't tell me you, a bot who hates humans, will do all you can to keep Jamie from panicking?" Ratchet asks as I leave the cafeteria.
"Isn't it bad for her health? Regardless if she's recovering from injuries. I don't want to give up, but...."
"Jamie keeps her walls up and the gate closed if you know what I mean. Just because you're an Autobot doesn't mean she instantly trusts you. Though I think soldiers will have a hard time...or harder after what happened than any of the new Autobots."
"I get it, and because she knows me, I'm like humans to her and have to work harder to get her to open the gate and let me in."
"But Sideswipe is right about you two helping each other once she lets you in. Just be careful with her."
You really are one interesting human, Jamie. I just wish I tried to be your friend years ago. Maybe we could have helped each other. You're supposed to be here to help your mental state, and I'm making things worse.

Drift's P.O.V.
After watching Jamie panic, I'm unsure if letting Sunstreaker try to be her friend is a good idea; but Sideswipe is also right. If they can be friends, they can help each other. I'm left with a choice to decide we're not doing this or watch Jamie panic, hoping it's not for long.
"You could have told him to stay away from Jamie," Crosshairs tells me.
"I don't know, Sideswipe could be right, but after this morning..."
"This will take time, but we'll let her decide after we tell her he didn't hurt her."
"Several Autobots know about this idea; Sunstreaker will have them to deal with if he frags up," Ratchet adds, "we can use a low-dose relaxant for a couple of weeks."
I look at Jamie asleep, thinking about how she was before she fell asleep.
"I-I don't know. You know Jamie is here to help with her mental health, Ratchet. He could push her to...."
"I have a couple of ideas, depending on how she reacts to being told who hurt her," Jolt adds, " I wouldn't show her the security footage."
I agree with the plan, ignoring the feeling I'm making a huge mistake.
