Jamie's P.O.V.
I didn't hear Sunstreaker say he was leaving, but he's not in the room when Drift tells Sideswipe and me it's time for dinner. I know the others have been concerned about Sunstreaker, but they're not concerned about Sunstreaker leaving.

Sunstreaker is by the cafeteria with a box. I know it's cookies from Panera Bread.
"Good idea," I joke.
"Oh hell no, dinner first," Sunstreaker scolds.
"He's no fun," Sideswipe sulks.
"You just want to eat candy," Sunstreaker scolds.
"And she barely eats," Sideswipe comments, pointing at me.

I sit with Mirage while the others enter the kitchen, feeling like all four are going to the kitchen only because Mirage is here.
"You ok?" He asks.
"Recovery wise? Yeah. Sunstreaker? I don't know. Even though Crosshairs and Drift trust him. I don't know...."
"You know he can't fake being nice for long. That he could have left you to die. I heard he was terrified of what Jadin could have done. He's been dealing with unusual anxiety."
"I know. I feel this weird energy when he's like that. Yesterday was frequent."
"Give him a chance."
Mirage stays as the four return. I  realize Sunstreaker kept the box of cookies with him.
Mirage laughs, hearing Sunstreaker didn't trust I wouldn't start eating the cookies. Crosshairs and Drift made one of my favorites for dinner: chicken cutlet covered in a lot of cheese and cheese fries. Lightning joins us with a different dinner.
"Got enough cheese?" Mirage jokes.
The others have the same, but less cheese.
It's quiet as we eat. What's there to talk about? I know Sunstreaker likes art, but I'm an amateur compared to him. I can't workout yet. He's not interested in video games and probably not interested in animals unless he's killing them.

Drift decides we will watch T.V. after dinner and have the cookies. He tells me Jamie likes the cookies warm and with milk. We go to the lounge room with a plate of cookies and a gallon of milk.

I taste why Jamie likes the cookies warm and dipped in milk. It is good. She lets me sit next to her as we watch T.V. It's interesting that Jamie likes watching vloggers on YouTube. Though I don't get why humans film their lives to share with the world. Gaming videos make more sense, but why not play the game instead?
A few hours later, I find out Jamie likes watching Twitch Livestream. This is a little better than videos of someone playing video games, but still, why? At least she has something to do with Sideswipe other than training.

The others smile, seeing Jamie put a pillow on my lap to sleep.
"The only good thing about her having surgery is she's asleep at a decent time," Crosshairs comments, "rather than two or three in the morning."
Sideswipe takes a picture before I pick Jamie up to carry her upstairs. He then takes a picture of me holding Jamie before we leave the lounge room.
Lightning, Mirage, and Sideswipe don't follow the four of us to Crosshairs and Drift's room.

I didn't think Drift would leave Jamie in the clothes she's wearing and have me put her in bed.
"This is good," Drift smiles, "except for how she goes to bed at a decent time because of recovery."
I know she was up until eleven when she first got here, to asleep by nine. I know that was due to Drift giving Jamie sleep aid, as the nightmares prevented Jamie from going to sleep. How much did getting her back to the base after what Jadin did help? That doesn't seem like Jamie not to be livid just because she's helped, but...
I leave the room without saying anything.

Damn it, I can feel the drug wore off. I inform Drift, who says he'll come here. I'm leaving the door open for Drift to come in if needed, but I hope Sunstreaker isn't going to get that bad.
I open the door, watching Sunstreaker sit on his bed. Drift runs down the hall, standing in the hallway out of Sunstreaker's sight.
"Sunny, what's wrong?"
"It's disgusting how we got to this point. If Jamie didn't go with Mirage, who knows if he would have had her go on the mission if he didn't think she needed time away from me?"
I don't know what to say. Even though Sunstreaker is calm, Drift walks in. Sunstreaker isn't bothered by Drift walking in.
Drift sits next to Sunstreaker.
"I know the way we reached this point is scrap, but you can't think about it," Drift community, "you'll ruin the progress made. It's wise only to think that you found Jamie in time."
"Uh, this might not be great, but the things that took place led us to find out about the device," I add.
"In a way, yeah, she's free from Jadin's mental attack. I believe Jamie knows you helped her," Drift adds, "and now what she did tonight. You can't think about the scrap that's happened."
Sunstreaker is relaxing, but I think he's still feeling guilty. Hopefully, this conversation helps him. I still worry about his nightmares.
Sunstreaker goes to take a shower.
"He's doing better," Drift community.
"I still worry about nightmares. I know we can't keep using the drug Ratchet has been injecting, but I don't think he'll be relaxed with the prescription drug."
"He can't keep getting the injections. High risk of dependency," Drift explains, "at least the pills will be safer to use longer. I can't say he won't have nightmares, but I think he won't have the same response as a few days ago."
"I hope not. I hate watching when he's like that."
With that, Drift leaves the room. I hope this ends soon. We're so close.
