Jamie's P.O.V.
Ten nights having the same reoccurring nightmare, even while away from here. Which means it wouldn't matter if I went home. There's only one way to end this and keep Crosshairs, Drift, and anyone who might become a target safe.I try to hide my plan during breakfast, but the Autobots' know me too well. Before I know it, I'm in Ratchet's office with Crosshairs, Drift, Jolt, Prime, and Ratchet. I don't know why Jolt is part of the meeting, but we're obviously in Ratchet's office for privacy. Damn, they know what'll happen as we talk.
I'm tearing up before I tell them I'm leaving, and I cry by the time I finish.
It's no surprise Optimus tells me this isn't the answer, that Sunstreaker will not hurt anyone, and if he does, he will face consequences.
"You didn't show her, did you?" He asks Drift.
"I..." Drift looks at me with uncertainty.
"It's not going to do any harm, Drift. It'll either be good or nothing will happen,* Crosshairs assures him.Drift shows me a note Sunstreaker wrote ten days ago. I'm amazed he kept it. Sunstreaker wants me dead; I can't believe he wants me to spend time with his brother. It's a way to trap me.
"He's a fucking liar!" I rage.
I can't believe Prime thinks Sunstreaker isn't lying. He knows Sunstreaker, so should I take Sunstreaker's note seriously? For now, the only thing that came out of this meeting is I'm not allowed to go home.I grab my tablet, phone, and headphones from my room and go to a meeting room. I sit at the table in the dark room, put music on, and work on my art; a month of prompts around a mom cat and kitten foster. I'm such an amateur compared to some other fans who do this.
Sunstreaker's P.O.V.
I haven't seen Jamie or her guardians all morning. I guess I shouldn't be surprised they no longer trust me — even after reading my note — and took Jamie somewhere else, likely a different dimension, or did they even read my note?
That's what I thought until I saw the two mechs, Mirage and Ratchet.
"... she's missing," I hear Drift panic.
"You know our system would detect a portal being opened," Optimus reminds him, which replaces the thought Jamie left to Jamie is somewhere around here, hurt. They'll blame me, but I can't walk away.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!?" Drift rages.
"Easy, Drift," Crosshairs says calmly but clearly worried about Jamie.
"I haven't seen her all morning."
Scrap, did I push her too far, and she's somewhere dead?
Everyone besides Ratchet splits up to look for Jamie. She's likely trying to hide from me, so she'll be in a room we won't think to look. We need to figure out where that would be.Walking by a conference room, I see light, but it's not bright enough to be the room's lights. Few go down this hall during the day; it's a dead end to the archives room.
I text Crosshairs, Drift, Ratchet, and Prime, telling them I found Jamie, but I want to try to sit in the room with her; on the other side of the table. It's a tiny step, but what else am I to do? Give up?
I'm instructed to wait for them.A few minutes pass before they get to me, along with Sideswipe.
"This can go two ways; this goes well, and we can discuss involving Sideswipe, or she panics," Optimus explains.
Crosshairs and Drift clearly hate they might be deliberately making Jamie panic, but they don't demand I leave.I walk into the room and sit across from her as quietly as possible, even though Jamie is wearing headphones, hoping she doesn't panic. I know she senses I'm here, but hopefully, sensing the others are here will keep her relaxed.
I watch her draw on the tablet. I'm unsure what she's drawing since she's doing the lines, which currently don't make sense.Twenty minutes pass before the others join me. I don't mind. This is good progress. We didn't have to wait long before Jamie decides she's done with what she's working on. She jumps as the lights turn on until she sees its Drift. She sits back down, seeing the rest of us. Optimus quickly explains the situation before Jamie panics.
She's hesitant to believe what Prime is telling her even though he can't lie.
"If this is what I have to say, then I will; Sideswipe has permission to spend time with you," I tell her before leaving the room.
This may be a good step towards being friends with Jamie, or all I did was get Jamie to feel safe spending time with Sideswipe.Mirage approaches me as I head to the training room. I told him what happened in the past thirty minutes.
"I also didn't spend much time with her, but I observed her while she was here and in battle," he tells me, "then the scrap happened, and she hid us. I've been observing her, and seeing how much has changed is hard. Let me tell you, Sunstreaker, if you hurt her in any way, I will not hesitate to join Crosshairs and Drift in fighting you."
With that, Mirage heads towards the conference room.Jamie's P.O.V.
I don't know what to think about what happened in the conference room. Sunstreaker would love to get what he wants, but Prime wouldn't.
I'm left alone as I go to the training room.Paul and his buddies surround me.
"What do you want?" I ask, displeased.
"I see Sunstreaker is letting you near him. You can help us get a little revenge," Paul explains.
"No," I firmly state.
"Oh, you'll be helping whether you want to or not," the blond says before cutting my arm, making sure it's deep.
"So, willing to help?" The brien haired soldier says while pointing a gun at me, "ok, plan B."
I'm shot three times, feeling the knife cut me a few times.
"He'll be locked up forever," I hear Paul say before everything goes black.
