Y/N

'y/n I'm back, where are you?' Ronnie calls out from the hallway, and you hear the front door close behind him.

You continue to stir the pot on the stove, 'in the kitchen,' you shout.

You don't bother to turn around because you hear Ronnie enter the room and the next thing you know his arms are around your waist and due to the height difference he rests his chin on top of your head, 'smells good y/n, I love your cooking.'

You snort, 'Is that all you love?'

Ronnie squeezes you a little tighter and, when he laughs, sends vibrations through your body, 'There are too many things to list in one sentence y/n, but I do love you.'

You turn the stove off, a little suspicious of Ronnie, 'I love you, but know when you want something and don't know how to say it.'

Ronnie sighs, 'We've got invited to a party this weekend y/n.'

You hum and slip out of Ronnie's embrace, 'You mean, you got invited to a party this weekend.'

RONNIE

'You mean, you got invited to a party this weekend,' y/n says, emotionless and keeping their face unreadable and their back turned to me as they get plates and utensils for dinner.

When I first met y/n on a blind date the band had set me up on, I wasn't interested because y/n wasn't like any of the girls I dated and it was well known I had a type and a bit of a reputation. y/n was quiet and reserved, friendly and not at all judgemental which was my complete opposite. We'd exchanged numbers at the end of the date with y/n being blunt saying she didn't expect anything from me because she knew she wasn't my type, but if I needed someone to talk to they would listen.

We did continue to speak, and I learnt that y/n was a shy person who kept out of any spotlight because of a cruel past that involved bullying during high school and mental abuse from their previous partner. y/n admired my honesty and how I stood my ground and wasn't afraid to call people out, and slowly but surely after opening up to one another y/n came out of their shell and I saw them in a new light.

We went on three more dates before I asked her out and she said yes. I promised to keep her hidden from fans because she wanted some privacy, and we'd been going strong for a few months before a single photo leaked and the internet tracked her down.

This would be the first party I attended with her on my arm, it was a lot to ask of her, but I felt right to show her off and show people that I wasn't all that bad if I could end up with someone nice like y/n. Plus there was a bit of a party animal in y/n after a few drinks, and it would be a laugh.

'No y/n, we're a package deal and I will make sure, you will enjoy yourself,' I state firmly, standing my ground.

y/n turns to face me smirking, 'And I'll hold you to that Ronnie. You promise not to leave me alone with strangers.'

I nod, happy that y/n seemed to be considering it, 'the rest of the band and their partners will be there so you won't be alone. And if it gets boring we'll leave.'

y/n closes the space between us, wraps their arms around my shoulders, leans up and kisses me on the lips softly, 'You're the best and worst thing that ever happened to me, Radke.'

I kiss her back, before slapping her butt jokingly, 'Yes I am, now plate me up dinner woman.'

y/n slaps my chest and glares at me, but y/n couldn't stay mad at anyone for too long and shakes her head, 'You're lucky I love you, Ronnie.'

I can't keep the smile off my face, the two of us might be opposites but we were perfect together.
