Y/n pov

I woke up the next morning to knocking on my door. I grumbled and got up and walked to the door. For some odd reason I was expecting Enoch to be there but instead it was nothing. I took me a second. "...Millard?" I asked the air. "Good morning," was all that answered back.

"Ugh, Millard, go put some clothes on."

"Fine, but it's time for breakfast," Millard walks off but all I could see is a door open and close.

I close my door and get dressed. I wore jeans with a black crop top and flannel shirt with my maroon vans. (Even though it's 1940 in the loop, it's still the 90's outside of it.)

I walk downstairs as I bump into Enoch holding jars of animal hearts. "Watch where your going!" He turns to face me,"the next one you break your gonna replace."

"Aren't you going to breakfast?" I ask.

He keeps on walking and doesn't respond. I hold my hand towards him and I used my telekinesis to stop him from moving. I walk in front of him. His face has a red tint to it. I giggle as I unfreeze him. He pushes past me and closes the door to his room.

I start to blush as I stand there until a swarm of guilt, and bees, comes over me. "Hugh!" I say as I swat the bees away from my face. I go to the dining room and sit down in my usual spot. I look at the empty chair next to me. I guess Enoch isn't joining us for breakfast. I think I might've accidentally shared a thought with Ms. Peregrine. "Y/n, will you fetch Enoch for breakfast."

I looked up in surprise but I got up and walked up the stairs to Enoch's room. I was half way down the up stairs hall way when Olive stopped me. "Y/n, do you mind if I go get Enoch? Please?"

I saw a slight glint in her eye. Her smile is extra wide. I decided to quickly search through her thoughts. I came to the conclusion that she was interested in Enoch. I knew that they were usually together but now I know why. Too bad Enoch didn't like her back. I can't figure out who Enoch liked though. It's like I'm blocked from his mind.

"Sure, go ahead." I know this isn't going to end well but it'll be entertaining.

Olive knocks on the door. "What do you want?" is the only response.

"It's Olive!"

All I could hear was a loud groan and the door opening. "I'm not coming. Go away, Olive." Slam.

The door was shut right in Olive's face. I could see her start to tear up but she held her head high and looked at me with a smile. "I guess he's not coming. Let's go Y/n!" She grabbed me arm and started to walk downstairs.

"Wait!" she stopped to look at me. I scrambled to find an excuse,"I forgot my scrunchie!"

I had forgotten that nobody here knew anything about future slang or items. Olive looked at me with confusion and then smiled like she knew what I meant. I read her thoughts. She didn't. She let go of my arm and walked downstairs taking a quick peek at me and then joining the others.

I walked over to Enoch's door and knocked on it. "What do you want now?"

He opened the door. "A Scottish idiot," I replied.

He glared at me,"what do you want?"

"I told you a big Scottish idiot."

I could tell I was getting on his nerves so I smirked a little," It's time for breakfast." I grabbed his hand and led him downstairs, not giving him a chance to complain. He sat down next to me and Olive gave me a look. I gave her a better one. 'It's not my fault Enoch didn't listen to you. Ms. Peregrine sent me to get him, not you.'

She almost choked on her bacon.
