[Jane's POV]

After I split off from Y/n, I headed off to talk with the scout leader. He helps by driving me to the known location of this Maelon. Reaching the road to lead off to the facility, I can only describe the area as post apocalyptic. Rubble everywhere and it looks dusty. I mean, it is Tuchanka

Once we hop out the vehicle, we get instantly attacked by Klixen. I hate these things. Why? They blow up after dying. Well, we don't let that stop us. We move further and encounter 2 more of those firery creatures and a pack on Varren. These aren't Y/n's pup so I know they aren't cuddly. Killing all 4 of my targets we continue and see a group of blood back vorchas. Easy targets. I pick them both off with my sniper and we move in. We reach a long bridge and more vorcha and varren. Plus I see a krogan as well. Mordin sets them ablazed and Vallah lends his sniper skills. Once over, we see 2 pyro vorcha. Vallah and I snipe his head and mordin sets the other on fire. We wait a moment and move on when mordin's incinerate is ready to fire again. Good thing too since another group of pyro shows up from around the corner and sets Vallah's shield on fire. Mordin using incinerate blows one up which ignites the other one and blows him up too. We see a small unit of vorcha and easily kill them. They're much less worrying than krogans or collectors. We head on inside and we look around as mordin comments

Mordin: "Repurposed Krogan hospital. Study. Built to withstand punishment" he tells us

Vallah: "It definitely looks more like a bomb shelter than hospital" she comments while looking around

We head down the staircase and see a human corpse while mordin evaluates

Mordin: "That body. Human. Need to take a look" he says as he scans the corpse

Mordin: "Sores, tumors, ligatures showing restraints at wrists and ankles. Track marks for repeated injection sites" he says looking at the diagnostics. Meanwhile Vallah's rubbing over the wounds covered by her armour that reflected his injection wounds

Mordin: "Test subject. Victim of experimentation" he says overlooking the body again and I see Vallah looking like she doesn't want to be here. I'll apologize afterwards

Jane: "I don't suppose there's a anyway to tell who this poor bastard was?" I say to him

Mordin: "No Tattoos or ID. Maybe slave or prisoner. Maybe mercs or pirate. Irrelevant now. Clearly part of krogan test to cure genophage" he answers

Mordin: "Humans useful as test subjects. Genetically Diverse. Enables exploration of treatment morality" he tells us disgusted

Jane: "Experimenting on humans? That kind of crap is what makes Cerberus start to seem like the good guys!" I say furious

Mordin: "Never used humans myself. Disgusting, unethical, Sloppy. Used by brute force researchers, not thinkers. No place in proper science. Krogan use of humans unsurprising" He tells me appalled which calms me down a bit

Jane: "I imagine you had to do some live subject testing while developing the genophage" I say curious

Mordin: "No. Unnecessary. Limited tests to simulations, corpses, cloned tissue samples. High-levels tests on varren. No tests on species with members capable of calculus. Simple rule, never broke it" he answers back

Jane: "Well, now we have two reasons to shit this place down" I say and we move in the building

We move inside and see a group of krogan and vorcha on the higher level

Weyrloc Clanspeaker: "I am the speaker for clan Weyrloc, Offworlders. You have shed our blood. By rights, you should be dead already" he says to us.

I can already hear Y/n now. "Oh, no! This is really bad! He's going to bore us to death!" To be honest... yeah, I'd probably say the same. He then wraps up his speech by saying we should run and tell Urdnot
