Our orders are simple and straightforward. Find the primarch, get him off world and pray he'll help us with politics. Arriving to palaven, the sight is unbelievably grim. A formerly beautiful looking planet now looking as If it's on fire. As we enter the atmosphere, a full team of reapers are guarding the path to the surface to prevent reinforcements. Luckily, the Normandy has its famous stealth drive and with the reapers focusing on the turian fleets, we make it through without worry.
As we enter the planet, a small monitor near us shows the damage the reapers have caused
Liara: "Oh no... no... palaven" she says with sorrow after seeing the destruction
Jane: "Garrus..." she says worried since garrus was supposed to be stationed here
Y/n: "It's garrus, Jane. He's just like you, reckless as all hell, but not careless. Knowing garrus he's fighting a few squads all by himself" I reassure and I see the smile she said in a way of thanks
Y/n: "Still though... the reapers are slaughtering those turians down there. It's not a pretty sight" I say looking over the feed
Jane: "Strongest military in the galaxy and the reapers are obliterating it" she responds looking at the feed as well
Liara: "Was it like this back on earth?" She asks the commander
Jane: "Yes" she simply responds with so much emotion. The feeling of dread, defeat, sorrow, anger and grief could be heard from that one word
Liara: "Shepard... I'm so sorry" she says in sympathy
Jane: "Yeah" she says and sighs
Liara: "And what about you, Y/n? You've must've seen your share" she says to me
Y/n: "Honestly, it's real bad. They'll hold ground, but it's not for long. I haven't had a chance to see even foot soldiers from their assaults, I was too busy dealing with problems on omega, So I have no idea how bad it really is" I reply still not taking my eyes off the feed
Cortez: "Commander! The LZ is getting swarmed!" The pilot snaps us out of our moods and gets us ready for action
Jane: "Y/n, let's go" she says to me and nods her head towards the hatch
Y/n: "Ready when you are, commander" I say seriously and open the hatch
Once it's open, we see husks climbing the cliff nearby. We open fire and we manage to kill a few, but a few managed to make it through. They run and growl towards our ship
Jane: "Hold!" She orders and we wait for them to get closer... closer... and "FIRE!" She orders and we unleash a barrage of gunfire, and since they're too close they can't escape the attack. Each drops dead and the area is clear
We step out of the shuttle and spot two Turians who had assisted us with the gunfire who points us in the direction of their camp. Arriving at the campsite, we see the barricades lower to allow ourselves in
Turian soldier: "Hold your fire! Friendlies inbound!" He orders his comrade and lets us in
Inside the camp, we see the planet up close and the size of the reapers so up close
