The Reaper IFF

[Y/n POV ]

After assisting tali with her trial, it was time to get the IFF so we'd be able to traverse the to the omega 4 relay and take the fight directly to the collector homeworld

Jane: "What's with all the chop, joker?" She asks through the rough turbulence

Joker: "Doing my best. The wind's gusting up to 500Kph. There's a second ship along side the reaper. It's not transmitting any IFF, but the lader paints it's silhouette as geth" he tells her

Jane: "Guess we know why the science team stopped reporting in" she says still while the ship is shaking like crazy

Soon the ship completely stops shaking and it flies smoothly

Jane: "What just happened?" She asks after stabilizing herself

Joker: "The reaper's mass effect fields are still active. We just passed inside their envelope. Eye of the hurricane, huh" he says to her

We soon board the ship and I already hate this place

Vallah: "Be careful commander. Something about this place feels... like we're about to walk into hell" she says cautiously

Y/n: "So a normal Tuesday afternoon? Sounds like a routine thing to us" I say trying to lighten the mood a bit

We head further inside and as the door to the main area opens, the ship begins to shake as we hear something power down

Joker: "Normandy to shore party!" He calls through our comms

Jane: "What just happened?" She asks him

Joker: "The reapers put up kinetic barriers. I don't think we can get through from our side" he warns her

Y/n: "As curious as we all are about the reapers... I'd rather not be trapped inside one" I say sarcastically

Vallah: "Still routine, big brother?" She asks sassily while crossing her arms

Y/n: "Hardy har har. You're funny" I say deadpanning

Jane: "Enough. We'll have to take down the barrier generators from in here. Any idea where they are?" She asks joker

EDI: "At the moment of activation, i detected a heat spike in what is likely the wrecks mass effect core. Sending the coordinates now. Be advised: This core as also maintaining the reaper's altitude" EDI says and delivers on her word

Jane: "So when we take down the barriers to escape, the wreck falls into the planet core" she says understanding the situation

Joker: "And that means everyone dies. Yeah, I got it" he says

Y/n: "Hey, if any pilot can pulls us off this thing before we become KIA, it's you" I say to him

Jane: "We'll make sweep for survivors and record any data we can. Stand by" she says to him

Joker: "Aye, Aye. Good hunting" he says to her

Y/n: "Can I just say how much I love having EDI around? Because I really love having EDI around. Like I lot" I say as they shake their head at me... rude

Y/n: "And don't get me starter with joker. He brings in the sass we all need in life. I'm making him my best man at the wedding. Hey I love my brother but god I know his speech is gonna be hilarious" I say and they roll their eyes... again, rude

We then open the door and my playful tone and gone so I'm back to soldier boy
