We're currently in the meeting room to discuss what to do about the geth we picked up from the reaper IFF.
Miranda: "I think we need to discuss the unique piece of salvage we've discovered. For now, we've stored it in EDI's AI core" she tells us which I think is a HORRIBLE idea. Hey let's leave an artificial intelligence that's literally just data... next to the fucking mainframe! What could possibly go wrong...
Miranda: "We need better equipment to fight the reapers. An intact geth would be invaluable to cerberus' cyber weapons devision" she tells us
Jacob: "We'll hand to disagree on that, ma'am. I saw enough of these things on eden prime. Space it" he tells us
Okay. If you don't have any smart ideas then don't share it with the class. We have an intact geth and your idea is... to throw it away. Why are you here? Plus why are you talking about eden prime when you weren't even there! Jane and I WERE there. Your opinion and comments are stupid, you're stupid and all of this is stupid
Y/n: "Don't be stupid. This isn't just a normal geth here, Jacob. It did save Jane's life and deactivate the barrier to the ship's core. We could have a useful ally to stop the collectors, if we can convince it to lend a hand. These are desperate times... my feelings on geth are a irrelevant. We need all the help we can get" I say and Jane starts to think if that's a good idea
Miranda: "It's too risky. We can't afford a rogue geth to attack from inside the ship. Cerberus has a long standing cash bonus for an intact geth. I assure you, the reward is significant" she says
Y/n: "Fantastic. Let me sit on my 5 million credit mansion on a planet devoid of all life while we're harvested into reaper forces. Sounds like fun" I say beyond sarcastically
Jane: "Enough. I'm not deciding one way or another, until I know what we've got here. I want to start it up. Interrogate it" she says to us firmly
Miranda: "If we activate it, there's no guarantee we can deactivate it again" she tells her
Y/n: "We've fought thousands of geth at this point. I'm sure a single geth won't be an issue here" I say to her
Jacob: "Exactly. Bullets can" he says to her
Miranda: "That's not what I—" she goes to say before jane interrupts her
Jane: "Thank you— The three of you— for your recommendations. I've made my decision" she tells us firmly
Jacob: "Tali's going to freak once she hears about this" he says to us
Y/n: "I've got this one. While Jane goes to see about our new "Friend" I'll talk with Tali about it. I'm not looking forward to it. I'll probably need to tell Vallah too, now that I think about it" I say and they all nod
Jacob then opens up a visual of the reaper IFF
Jacob: "So what about this Reaper IFF?" He asks Jane and EDI's AI pops up
EDI: "I have determined how to integrate it with our systems. However, the device IS reaper technology. Linking it with the Normandy's system poses certain risks" she tells us
Jane: "I trust you, EDI. I know you won't let anything happen to the ship" she tells her
EDI: "Understood, Shepard. It may take several hours before the IFF is ready for shakedown. I will alert you as soon as it is ready" she tells her
Jane: "Sounds good. Until then, it's business as usual. Crew dismissed" she orders us
Jacob and I salute Jane and walk off. I head down to the engineering room and meet up with tali
