The hour hand on the wall clock moved another notch. It was almost seven. The building was slowly falling silent. The lights in the neighboring offices were going out one by one, but Taehyung's office was still bustling with activity.

A dim lamp shone above the desk, reflecting off the shiny surface of the laptop and the spread-out folders. Taehyung sat upright, his eyes focused, his forehead slightly furrowed. His fingers glided across the touchpad, clicking, analyzing, comparing. A map of the entire scam was slowly forming in his head.

Coded nicknames, fake signatures, secret meetings, money—so much money.

And between the lines, a clear name. Sana.

And by her side, Im Daeyung. And Kai. More and more documents confirmed that it was no coincidence. It was not a business mistake. It was betrayal.

He took a deep breath, reached for his cell phone, and pressed the contact labeled with a single word: Minho.

The phone rang twice before a calm but alert voice answered.

"Mr. Kim."

"Where are you now?" Taehyung asked directly, without greeting. "I need you. In person."

"Still at the base. South tower. Room S-2. Can you be there in thirty minutes?"

"Be there," Taehyung said. "And get the whole team ready. We're moving on to the next phase."

"Understood."

The call ended. Taehyung stared at the screen for a moment. He exhaled deeply, then reached for the intercom on his desk.

"Lucia," he said quietly but firmly. "Send a message to the lawyer that I want to meet with him tomorrow morning. Have him prepare a draft for a preliminary injunction. We need to freeze Sainex Holdings' accounts and block access to all data servers that are not under our direct control. Immediately."

"Understood, Mr. Kim. What about a direct announcement to the board of directors?"

"Not yet. Not until we have everything in hand. I'm going to see Minho's team tonight."

"I'll make a note of that."

He closed the files, disconnected the disk, and put it back in the security case. Then he got up, put on his coat, glanced over his desk one more time, and turned off the lamp.

As he left the office, his step was calm but purposeful.

His every movement was precise, as if he knew exactly what was to follow. He didn't turn around. He didn't hesitate. The elevator descended from the top floor to the ground floor, the doors opened with a quiet click, and he stepped inside. It was quiet inside—just his reflection in the elevator walls, his eyes dark and focused.

When the doors opened again on the ground floor, the building was almost empty. Only the night shift remained at the reception desk—the young man behind the counter bowed his head in greeting and quickly lowered his gaze when he met Taehyung's eyes.

The evening chill of concrete hung in the air, while the glass walls bore the dull imprints of the day's traffic. When Taehyung stepped outside, the wind briefly ruffled his hair, lifting the hem of his shirt slightly from under his coat.

He got into the black Range Rover waiting at the entrance, the engine running quietly. It was warm inside. Through the windshield, he could see the city losing its sharpness and melting into blurry lights. Offices were shutting down, neon signs were flashing, traffic was thinning out. But in his mind, everything was exactly where it should be.

He set the navigation system – South Tower, code name: Base S-2.

For security reasons, neither the car nor the system showed the exact name of the place. But he knew it. He knew exactly where he was going.
