Kuuga went out alone to get his improved bokken, and he succeeded. He realized that he felt naked without a sword. At that moment, Kuuga decided to take a bus to return home. Along the way, he spotted someone he knew.
Mitsuhiko: Is that you, Kuuga-kun?
Kuuga: Huh?
Genta: Oh, you're here!
Kuuga: What are you doing here?
Ayumi: We're here for skiing.
Kuuga: I see.
Kuuga noticed Conan and Haibara.
Kuuga: Huh? Oh, it's you. I suggested they invite you.
Conan: Yeah.
Woman: Is he your friend?
Kuuga face foreign woman and glasses man.
Conan: Yes, he's our friend, Kuuga.
Woman: Oh, my goodness.
Kuuga: Do you know her?
Conan: She's Jodie Saintemillion, an English teacher at Teitan High School, and next to her is Tomoaki Araide-sensei, a doctor.
Tomoaki: Hello.
Kuuga: (Nods) Now I'll go find my seat.
Kuuga senses something strange about Jodie and Araide and decides to raise his guard. However, he also notices that Haibara is covering her hood and appears to be afraid.
Kuuga: Hey, what's wrong with her?
Conan: Oh, she...
Agasa: Excuse me for interrupting. There are people looking for seats.
Kuuga: Oh, right.
Kuuga pays no attention to them and takes a seat behind Conan and Haibara. He crosses his arms, closes his eyes, and rests while holding his sword bag as a precaution. Suddenly, he hears a gunshot.
Kuuga: Huh?
Kuuga notices two individuals wearing skiing jackets and carrying skiing bags and pistols. He sighs.
Skiing robber 1: Hand over your phones now. Don't try to hide them. If you don't comply, you'll never get to make a call.
Skiing robber 2 grabs the bus's intercom and contacts the bus center.
Skiing robber 2: We have taken control of this bus. We demand the release of Kunio Yashima from prison. Inform the police that we will kill a passenger every hour until our demand is met! I'll call back in 20 minutes, so make sure everything is ready by then.
Skiing robber 1 proceeds to collect every phone from the passengers until he reaches the back. There, he encounters three passengers: Shuichi Akai wearing a mask, Yasuhiko Machida wearing a hearing aid, and Miharu Tomino chewing gum. Skiing robber 1 fires a warning shot, narrowly missing Miharu. He then returns to the front of the bus, but Jodie trips him.
Skiing robber 1: You stupid foreigner!
Jodie: Oh, I'm so sorry.
She retrieves his gun and puts it on safe mode. Ski Masked Robber 1 releases her hand. Kuuga notices that the robber's handgun is also in safe mode. Meanwhile, the robber who was in the driver's area turns his attention to Conan.
Skiing robber 1: What the hell do you think you're doing? If you try anything funny, I'll start with you.
The robber picks up Conan's earring cellphone. Conan is on the ground, and Kuuga rushes to help him.
Kuuga: Are you alright?
Conan: Yeah.
Kuuga: What did you do?
Conan: I tried to make contact. He saw me, but it's strange that he never saw what I was doing while he was at the front.
Kuuga: unless someone was watching you.
Conan: Yes, it seems that those three passengers sitting behind us were observing us.
Conan and Kuuga glance back at the three passengers: Shuichi Akai wearing a mask, Yasuhiko Machida wearing a hearing aid, and Miharu Tomino chewing gum.
