At the ghost ship scene, Kogoro begins investigating the murder of Senzou Fukuura. He determines that Mummyman is the killer; however, their investigation is interrupted by someone pretending to use Captain Gold's voice. They head to the deck, revealing the Invisible Man, who is none other than Shinichi Kudo.
Kogoro: Y-you're... the detective Kid... Shinichi Kudo!
Sonoko: No way!!!
Kogoro: What are you doing here?
Monster 1: Kudo? As in the famous teen detective?
Monster 2: huh? where, where?
Monster 3: I heard he was dead!
Medusa: *smile*
Monocle Zombie thought: It can't be... it's him! But Aniki killed him with that drug... what's going on?
Back on the scene where Jodie drives a car with Haibara.
Jodie: *smile*
Haibara: Hey...
Jodie: Hmm?
Haibara: Can you... do me a favor? *cough* *cough*
Back on the scene where Shinichi appears on the crow's nest on the ghost ship.
Kogoro: *laugh* Sorry to ruin your big entrance, kid, but this case is already closed! I hope you realize the victim was standing right in the crow's nest when he died! That would be Fukuura-san here. The murderer came out onto the darkened deck from the cabin below where the party was in progress and shot him with a bow-gun with a tarot card stuck to the arrow. In other words! The criminal has to be the person who has no alibi or Devil card! Which means it's the Mummyman fella over here!
Shinichi: ...
Kogoro: What do you say is wrong with my reason? Go on say something!!
Shinichi: Ah excuse me... My throat not being very cooperative... *cough* *cough*
Kogoro: A flu...
Shinichi: So, an alibi and card was it? Well, the card was probably taken by the true criminal to put the blame on Mummyman... isn't that right... You stole the card in the toilet, didn't you... Werewolf-san!!
Kogoro: Huh? Toilet?
Werewolf: ...
Kogoro: Eh, is that true Mummyman-san?!
Mummyman: I... I'm not sure...
Shinichi: I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't remember. Werewolf-san entered the stall next to Mummyman-san and knocked him out with chloroform or some kind of narcotic sprayed from a syringe. After Mummyman-san passed out, he climbed quietly into the stall and stole the card from him.
Kogoro: How about some proof, kid?
Shinichi: I can't prove the details. That's just the most likely scenario. Whatever tools he used, he probably threw them into the sea when he was done.
Kogoro: Well, why do you think it was Werewolf-san? I saw the werewolf coming out of the restroom, and I saw him before Fukuura-san announced the game, but I didn't see the mummy at all! Are you kidding? You saw me leave the restroom too, remember?
Kogoro: Huh?
Mummyman: And I was right beside you before the start of the game!
Kogoro: Not unless you're The Invisible man, buddy!
Shinichi: I think Frankenstein-san holds the key to that mystery. Maybe you'd like to tell us why you stayed in character even in the restroom and why you looked so surprised there.
