In daylight, Yukiko takes the kids to a certain place while driving a sports car. Conan and Kuuga sit together in the front, with Kuuga holding his sheathed cane sword covered by a bag and wearing a trench coat and scarf.
Yukiko: Yahoo!!
Conan: Didn't the rental place have any sensible sedans?
Yukiko: Are you kidding? This ride is perfect for me!
Conan: And aren't you going a little fast?
Yukiko: Don't worry! I've got my eyes peeled for police cars!
Conan: Keep your eyes on the speedometer, not the cops.
Mitsuhiko: Um, where are we going?
Genta: Tell us already!
Ayumi: Please!!
Yukiko: We're going to a place you'll all love!
Ayumi: Your mommy is being mean, Conan!
Conan: She's not my mom, she's just an older lady who's a relative of mine. Ah?
Conan is shocked and looks at Yukiko. She is completely mad at what Conan said. Kuuga surprise too about Yukiko reaction.
Kuuga: ...
Conan: I mean young lady.
Yukiko phone is ringing and answer her phone.
Yukiko: Hello, Kurata-san. What? You're having trouble with the timing, and the Number 0 print is taking a little longer? Okay, got it. We'll head your way, so I'll see you soon.
Kuuga was kept looked in the side mirror, saw a car behind, and felt suspicious while Yukiko was on the phone call. Yukiko then hung up.
Mitsuhiko: What is Number 0?
Genta: Sounds like a robot or something!
Ayumi: Tell us!
Yukiko: It's a secret!
Conan: You're taking us to an advance screening of "Samurai Kid: The Movie 2," aren't you?
Yukiko: Huh?
Mitsuhiko: Wow! Really?
Genta: Sweet!
Ayumi: Oh boy!!
Kuuga: Huh? How can you tell? She didn't tell us where we're going or mention the movie.
Conan: Timing is a process done to correct the colour in a film, and Number 0 is the very first print, the one shown to studio executives and investors. It's common lingo among movie and TV insiders. So, she figured the kids would see the movie before it opens on New Year's Day. If we're on our way to watch the Number 0 print, we must be going to an early advance screening, probably at the lab where it's being developed.
Yukiko: Ding ding ding! Bingo!
Kuuga: So that's how why she taken us early. However, the traffic light has been green the whole time.
Yukiko: What? That long!
Ayumi: Now it's yellow!
Yukiko: Sorry, I wasn't paying attention.
Yukiko shifts gears and speeds up. The kids are shocked. Yukiko makes her car drift, exciting the kids except Conan.
Conan: Hey, cut it out! There are kids in this car!
Yukiko: Okay, okay!
Yukiko adjusts her driving.
Genta: Wow, this is awesome!
