Kuuga and the others return from watching the fireworks to find Yasumi lying on the ground in the middle of the road. The police are investigating Yasumi's body, and they are being interrogated in the trailer.
Reiji: Hold on just a minute! Why are you asking for our alibis? Yasumi's death was an accident, right?
Takagi: It's just a formality. Please tell me what you were doing between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM tonight.
Haruka: I don't know. We were all off doing different activities.
Meshiai: I went fishing by myself.
Reiji: And it's not like we were paying attention to the time! We're on vacation!
Megure: Okay then. Which one of you can drive this camper?
Meshiai: Fukuura is the best driver. He used to be into drift racing.
Reiji: Hey, come on. It's just a camper! All of us can drive it except Yasumi. Takuto drives the camper for me whenever I need to take a nap, and Haruka-san drives it to our meeting spot at the beginning of every trip!
Haruka: Why do you want to know that?
Takagi: Well, the body was probably carried up the road in a vehicle, so...
Meshiai: Then you do suspect us!
Megure: That's right! As the driver, you could've planted the body in the road ahead of time and pretended you didn't see it during the drive up! Not many people use this road, so if no one was in the passenger's seat, you would've been the only person likely to have seen it.
Reiji: I admit there was nobody up front with me when I drove up the mountain, but I would've had to swerve to avoid Yasumi's body, and the rest of the group would've noticed that. There's no way I could've driven past it without changing lanes!
Meshiai: Plus, we were around this point when I opened the sunroof to look out, and I didn't see anything unusual in the road.
Megure: Why did you open the sunroof?
Meshiai: Last year we saw fireworks through the mountains as we were coming up.
Haruka: We thought we might luck out again tonight.
Reiji: We did, but you can only see them for about 10 seconds.
Megure: But if you drove past the body and then opened the sunroof...
Reiji: I told you there's no way I could've done that without changing lanes!
Conan looks out the window on top and notice Kuuga on the roof.
Conan: Kuuga?
Conan decide to get out and climb on top and found Kuuga.
Conan: What do you find?
Kuuga points to a strange mark on the edge of the sunroof.
Conan: Good find.
Conan investigation the strange mark on sunroof and there is blood on it. The kids follow Conan onto the roof. Ayumi carries a flashlight but accidentally drops it.
Ayumi: Oh no! The flashlight!
The flashlight rolls away, but Kuuga retrieves it.
Kuuga: There!
Mitsuhiko: Please be careful! The wind is pretty strong tonight, and this car is tilted downhill.
Haibara: But it's worth the trouble for such a lovely night view.
