Kuuga and his friends went to search for the hidden Doyle, and they prepared an experiment for the evening. They started the clock alarm, and the others returned to the lounge.

Teruya: Hey, what's going on?

Conan, Haibara, and Ayumi stood there, while Mitsuhiko and Genta came from the sitting room.

Teruya: Conan!

Genta: It worked, Conan.

Mitsuhiko: We'll get the living room ready.

Teruya: Ready for what?

Conan: We're going to conduct an experiment. We'll show you how the dog-napper was able to hide Doyle without being seen.

Aki: You dumb kid! How can you do it without the dog?

Conan: We can't without some assistance...

Kuuga came out of the living room carrying Doyle.

Conan: Doyle!!

Kuuga show Doyle to them.

Teruya: Doyle!!

Shino: You found her!!

Conan: Let's do it. We'll start in the hallway in front of the door where Doyle vanished.

Conan and his friends, along with the other adults, went to the front door. Conan called Mitsuhiko.

Conan: Okay, we're ready.

Mitsuhiko (Badge): Roger.

Kuuga: Are you ready?

Doyle: Bark.

The clock bell started ringing, and Doyle went alone.

Conan: Right. Doyle heard this sound and headed to the sitting room for snack time. Where do you think Doyle is right now?

Aki: What a childish question. Obviously, she's waiting in the sitting room.

Aki went to the sitting room, but Doyle was not there.

Aki: What? She's not here.

Teruya: The sound isn't coming from this room.

Conan: It's coming from the living room.

Teruya: What? It's coming from... the stereo!

Mitsuhiko: Yes, we recorded the sound of the clock chiming with the stereo.

Genta: We borrowed the tape recorder from your room.

Agasa: So, Doyle was lured here by the sound of the clock.

Conan: The clock and the cushion. The cushion that Doyle always pulled out to sit on while waiting for her snack!

Teruya: But there's still a blue cushion in the sitting room.

Kuuga: Doyle doesn't care about the color! Dogs can hear four times better than humans, and their sense of smell is much better than ours. But they can hardly see colors at all.

Conan: That's why Doyle always pulls out the cushion with her scent, and it happens to be blue. It's easy to tell which cushion has bite marks. And this is the perfect hiding place, right here.

Conan points to the speaker behind Doyle.

Teruya: Inside the speaker?

Doyle: Bark!

Conan: Yes, Doyle was lured to the left speaker.

Agasa: But she will come out when she finishes eating.
