Kuuga and his friends, including Takagi, watch the videotape in search of clues regarding the bomb incident during the parade.

Genta: Look at her! Doesn't she look suspicious? She keeps looking at the video camera!

Ayumi: You're right!

Conan: She doesn't seem to like Mitsuhiko pointing the camera at her, especially from a low angle!

Mitsuhiko: N-no, I didn't mean to...

Haibara: Don't worry about it... She probably has another undergarment on anyway.

Genta: How about this man with a moustache?

Ayumi: He's been looking at the ground for quite some time.

Conan: Take a closer look at his hand! Do you see a child's shoe? My guess is that he came with his family and his child's shoe fell to the ground while he was looking at other shoes.

Agasa: I see, Detective Takagi! You must share what you found.

Takagi lost in his thoughts until a kid shouts his name.

Takagi: Y-yes.

Genta: Are you watching it?

Takagi: I did... three times but watching it over and over won't make a difference. In a crowd, whether a person seems suspicious or not depends on how you look at them. It's impossible to identify the culprit from these people.

Conan looks at Takagi and realizes something.

Kuuga: I hate to admit it, but the Detective Takagi is right. I can't find a suspicious person in a crowd like this. Unless they didn't appear or something.

Haibara: You're right. There's nothing significant in the videotape.

Conan realises that nothing appears on the videotape, so he decides to check the tape. And he finds something.

Ayumi: Conan-kun, did you find something?

Conan: No, nothing.

Mitsuhiko: Then isn't it useless?

Conan: No, it's not because there's something missing from the tape. They tried to destroy it because there was nothing on it.

Conan goes out, and the others follow him to the postbox.

Agasa: Is there something with the postbox?

Conan: Can you tell me what time Mitsuhiko was recording?

Genta: I don't remember the time.

Kuuga: There is. The videotape shows the time and date. I think it was around 2:20.

Conan: Correct! Since then, we stayed here by the postbox until 2:38 pm when Detective Sato came by and Mitsuhiko stopped filming, right?

Takagi: But what about it?

Conan: Look here. The timetable on this postbox shows that on holidays, around 2:30 pm, there should be mail delivery.

Kuuga: Wait, if that time has arrived here, then...

Conan: Do you know what that means?

Kids: The mail truck!

Mitsuhiko: We haven't seen any mail being picked up.

Agasa: But it's possible that it hasn't come simply because the parade has blocked the route.

Takagi: No, the parade route is decided by public affairs, so it shouldn't be disturbed. In fact, half of the lane is blocked by the parade, but I didn't see any truck coming.
