Conan: No way! You know how much he loves food.
Mitsuhiko: Now that you mention it, Genta hasn't been talking to us for a few days.
Ayumi: Yeah, he just goes straight home after school.
Mitsuhiko: Maybe someone is bullying him.
Conan: Hey! Genta is not the type to be bullied, and even if he were, he'd be safe sticking with us.
Haibara: Maybe it's a problem within his family.
Ayumi: What?

Ayumi looks at Kuuga, who is eating his meal calmly.
Ayumi: Kuuga-kun, could you help Genta?
Kuuga: It's up to Genta whether he wants our help or not. He needs to say so.
Everyone is surprised by Kuuga's response, as they expected him to offer assistance willingly.
Kuuga: I have no right to ask him about what happened.
Mitsuhiko: But he...
Kuuga sits up, takes his plate, and walks out of the classroom.
Kobayashi: Where are you going?
Kuuga: I'm going to wash the plate.
Everyone looks at Kuuga, puzzled by his actions. After the class finishes, Kuuga decides to head home by himself. However, as he is walking, he overhears Genta's voice saying something alarming.
Genta: My life is in danger, and a hitman is out to get me!
Initially, Ayumi and the others think it's a prank and ignore Genta's statement. But Genta walked away and saw Kuuga passing by and calls out to him.
Genta: Kuuga.
Kuuga continues walking, seemingly ignoring Genta's plea. Ayumi becomes more concerned and tries to get Kuuga's attention.
Ayumi: Hey! Kuuga-kun!
Kuuga stops and turns to face Ayumi.
Kuuga: What?
Mitsuhiko: This is Genta we're talking about, someone could really be after him.
