Kuuga and his friends went to check it out, and they discovered that Giichi Aramaki had passed away, his body wrapped around with a fishing net. The police arrived to investigate, led by Inspector Sango Yokomizo. The three suspects were identified as Noboru Shimojo, Yuta Yoshizawa, and Nezu Nobutsugu.

Sango: We know that Mr. Aramaki didn't have any friends among the fishermen in this area, so suspicion falls on the three of you who happened to discover the body.

Fisherman: What?

Sonoko: We saw them this afternoon on the beach talking to him during their meeting, right Ran?

Ran: Yes, and they were waiting at the Chinese restaurant where we were too.

Noboru: See?

Agasa: It's true.

Ayumi: The skinny man arrived at 7:10 PM.

Genta: The fat man arrived at 8.

Mitsuhiko: The man with the tan arrived at 8:40.Sango:

Sango: What a stranger family you got.

Agasa: No, they were my neighbor's kids. We're on vacation together.

Sango: Wait, if you're here, then those kids must be here too.

Agasa: Conan and Ai-kun? Ai-kun went back to the hotel, and Conan is over there.

Sango: Hey!

Sango went to pick up Conan, and Kuuga asked Agasa about the inspector.

Kuuga: Do you know this inspector?

Agasa: Yes, Conan-kun, Ai-kun, and I have met him before on another case. His name is Sango Yokomizo.

Kuuga: I see.

Kuuga noticed Conan asking unusual questions about why the victim was covered with a net. Inspector Sango took Conan aside to discuss the matter. Meanwhile, Inspector Sango questioned the three fishermen about how they knew the location of the victim. He discovered that Mr. Aramaki's phone showed call records, indicating that Yuta called at 7:20 PM, Noboru at 7:47 PM, 8:03 PM, and 8:18 PM.

Kuuga spotted something.

Kuuga: Hey!

They all looked at Kuuga.

Kuuga: What's that in the river?

They turned their attention to the river and found the boat that the detective boys had used. Inspector Sango asked someone to retrieve it, but the three fishermen were reminded of their past experiences with the boat.

Sango: What's taking so long?

Agasa: Can you please help him and not order him around like a soldier?

Sango: Well...

Genta: you can't swim are you.

Mitsuhiko: Wow! You become detective then you can't swim.

Ayumi: but you have coral hair.

Sango: Coral?

Sango check on boat have a bottle of sake and a scandal, and the water filled sea water in boat.

Sango: It's possible that the murderer made Mr. Aramaki drunk, wrapped him in the net, and pushed him into the water.

Conan: That's too simple. If I were the murderer, I wouldn't leave the evidence on the boat. I would have thrown it into the sea.

Ayumi: You shouldn't throw trash into the sea.

Mitsuhiko: That's cruel.

Conan: I'm saying that if I were the murderer.

Conan and his friends argued among themselves.

Kuuga: No, that's not what he means.

They all turned to look at Kuuga.

The Detective Boys: Kuuga.

Kuuga: He means that the culprit wanted to hide the evidence to cover up their own identity. I don't know where they hid it. We'll have to wait and see.

The Detective Boys: Oh!

Conan felt relieved that Kuuga had helped him. Inspector Sango took note of their discussion but some reason he heard that name before.

Sango: Kuuga?

Kuuga: Did you say something?

Sango: No, it's nothing.

Kuuga: Alright, guys, let's go.

The three fishermen asked the inspector if they could leave, but the inspector refused, saying he needed to check the time.

Ayumi: Oh! Somebody threw some trash in the sea.

Ayumi went to pick it up but lost her balance due to a wave.

Mitsuhiko: Ayumi-chan, are you okay?

Ayumi: I just felt something prickly.

Mitsuhiko: Be careful, there might be shells in the sand.

Conan, realizing the significance of the shells and Ayumi's comment, quickly gathered Kuuga and the other kids.

Conan: I want you guys to get a big seashell, a dead starfish, a bucket, and a wash tub. Bring them here.

The Detective Boys: Okay, Conan!

Eager to help, Kuuga and his friends hurriedly went to collect the items requested by Conan.

Kuuga: Conan, why do you need these things?

Conan: You'll see soon enough. It's an important clue.

With the detective boys on their way to gather the requested items, Conan prepared to unveil his deduction based on the evidence he had discovered.
