Traces of vows, now faint and dim,
Where has the old affection gone, so trim?
Hearts entwined, now torn on a whim,
Smiles that faded at dawn's soft hymn.
No longer in your heart's embrace,
Forgotten tales we once did trace.
I thought we'd journey together in grace,
Yet you left, a world lost in space.
The joy of yesterday etched in my soul,
Memories of us, now distant and whole,
Still hoping you'd find your way, make me whole,
Back to the path where love takes its toll.
Though my heart weeps in sorrow's flow,
From your departure's cruel blow,
I hold on to the dream, that you'll return to show,
With the promises you made, in love's glow.
