Butters was very happy. His life seemed like it was turning around. His parents were treating him so much better, and people seemed to be finally leaving him alone, and Butters was happy. However, he was nervous because the person who was doing all this for him was being left in the dark about something.
Butters was hiding something, and he didn't want it to get out. You see, Butters was Professor Chaos, Mysterion's worst enemy, and Butters feels guilty about it. The person who helped him so much hates the other version of him, for good reasons, but still.
So now, Butters was lying in his bed, thinking about what to do. Does he quit? I mean, there is really no reason to continue. He started to be Professor Chaos because everything was horrible and Butters wanted control of his life again, or at least feel like he did, but now he has control, nice parents, no bullying, good life, so does he need to be this villain anymore? But at the same time, things are only good because of Mysterion, as soon as Mysterion leaves then....no, no, Mysterion will not leave. Butters tries to convince himself that Mysterion is permanent, but no matter how many times he says it to himself, he knows....he knows Mysterion will one day leave, and everything will be gone.
It wasn't fair. He didn't want Mysterion to leave, ever. Butters covers his face with his pillow and keeps thinking. He was starting to feel weird, "Do I like him? Oh god!! Not another thing!" Butters sighs in defeat, "He was supposed to be the person I could tell anything to! But this is something I can't! What do I do!? Who do I go to!?" Butters racks his brain for answers. That's when an idea pops into his head, "Wait! What if I tell him this stuff but make it seem like I'm talking about another person? It's perfect!! That's what I'll do!!" Butters smiles widely.
Butters gets up and heads downstairs. He calls out to his dad, who answers with a, "Yes, Butters?"
"Can I talk to you?" There was silence for a minute before Butters hears.
"Sure. Come here, son." he doused nerves.
Butters smiles widely, "Ok!" he skips over happily and sits in his father's lap.
"The problem, son?"
"Dad, I like someone. What do I do?" Butters asks.
Butters's dad's eyes widen, "Oh! You're starting to like girls?"
"No....it's...." Butters cuts himself off. He remembered the last time his father found out he was gay, or at least thought so, and even though he's better now, Butters knows it's only because of Mysterion and homophobia is strong so he just looked up to his dad and nodded.
Butters's dad smiled and called up his mom, "Linda!! Come here!! Our boy has a crush!!" Butters heard footsteps coming up the stairs.
"He does!? Oh, that's so great!" she smiles and claps her hands as she comes over and hugs Butters. It was awkward, at least to him.
The next several hours were just filled with Butters's parents talking and cheering about his crush on a 'girl'. Butters felt kinda bad about lying to them, but he really didn't want to get sent back to that horrible camp.
Luckily, it was soon getting late, so his parents had to stop.
Butters had dinner and got ready for bed, and as he lay there, in the dark, he smiled, thinking about Mysterion, and all he would talk to him about, and how good it would feel to rant. Hopefully, he wouldn't slip up.
As Butters sees a dark shadow grow bigger near his window, his smile gets wider and he happily jumps to his window, opens it, and just as quick as he opened the window, Butters feels a warm embrace around him as his purple hero holds him tightly and makes him feel safe, and nice.
