Kenny x Butters, "You deserve better!"

Chapter 35: SOS

"You stay here, Karen; there seems to not be any chips here!" Kenny yells before he runs off to the square, "Call me if anything happens!"

As he runs, he calls out Butters' name.
"Butters!!"

"Kenny!" Night calls from behind him, "Watch out!!"

Kenny raises an eyebrow before looking down and seeing he almost stepped on a chip, "Oh, that could have ended badly."

Kenny backs up and looks around, "Night! Do you see Butters or Professor Chaos!? Um...nothing connecting them together just-"

Kenny was cut off by Night, "I know they're the same person."

"Oh...how!? I didn't even know, and I was dating him!!" Kenny asks.

"Oh come on! It's so obvious!! Same voice, same body movements, same scars." Night says back.

"Well, okay, maybe you are just better at telling people apart than me!" Kenny says, "That's beside the point though! Do you see him!?"

"Nope! Maybe he got blown up." Night shrugs.

"Don't even suggest that! I...don't want to think of it." Kenny says.

"Kenny! You have to! The possibility is literally staring you in the face!" Night yells.

Kenny is silent for a minute, "I....We'll deal with that when it-IF it happens." Kenny replies.

Night sighs as they follow Kenny to the square, both running as fast as they can, trying not to step on any chips that were spread across everything.

Butters was walking around, looking at all the beautiful chaos. He hummed a little tune as he did, his normal 'lo lo lo' tone, except it was slower and in a more minor key, instead of its normal major, happy, tone.

With the heroes not having a boss to make a plan, they were unprepared, making this a lot easier for him.

Butters sighed; he wished this was part of one big evil plan to take down their boss, Mysterion, and destroy everything, but no, this just happened spontaneously.

In fact, after all the help that was given to him by Mysterion, he never thought that he would make another evil plan again, but this is what this town does, it makes you happy and see the light in everything, before tearing it away.

And Butters...was done, not happy, but this did, in fact, make him feel better, no matter what others say, this did make him feel better.

Butters smiles as he walks, being careful not to step on anything, when he makes the mistake of not paying attention to his surroundings for a second, and...boom.

No, he didn’t step on anything, but someone close to him did. Butters felt himself being swept off his feet and thrown into the air.

His back hit the ground hard, losing the air in his lungs for a moment. Butters coughed and gasped for a few seconds before letting out some relieved and scared deep breaths. It was okay, thank god.

Butters held his chest as he got up, but that's when he realized a little flashing light on his wrist; he looked and saw, "Mysterion's danger watch...I forgot I was wearing this..."

Butters looked at it; if Mysterion was still alive, he would have gotten the warning. Butters looked around, half hoping Mysterion would just fall from the sky or come out from behind something, but Butters knew he wouldn't. Mysterion was dead.

Butters frowned, just being reminded of his love's death.

But little did he know, the SOS message was being seen, and it was being seen by the person he wanted, and that was going to be Kenny's ticket to finding him.
